Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis MA thesis is focused on correlation between well logging data measured by neutron-neutron thermal epithermal NNTE geophysical logging tool and laboratory analysis from thin bedded rocks from Carpathian Foredeep Molasse Basin, in order to determine the cation capacity exchange CEC curve. Essential theoretical foundations and methods of laboratory analysis of the core samples has been discussed. Deconvolution and depth matching of the raw data curves has been performed. The neutron porosity ?N, natural gamma ray I? and thermal neutron capture cross section ?a were obtained using the newly introduced equations in Poprawki program (part of the GeoWin software package). The CEC curve was calculated using ?a and I? curves and visualized along with them and lab samples in the ProGeo software program.
