    The area of Zywiec tectonic window is formed by flysh deposits belonging to three nappes: Subsilesian Nappe, Silesian Nappe and Magura Nappe. In range of Zywiec city are located Cieszyn limestones and Upper Cieszyn shales. Due to encountered there teschenites and flow deposits this place is unusually valuable for science and didactics. Currently legal form of protection is not adequate to their value. The paper presents the best variant of legal protection and proposition of adaptation this sites to science, didactics and tourists goals.
