Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Badania geochemiczne węgla brunatnego według wymagań Unii Europejskiej – oznaczenia kadmu na przykładzie węgla brunatnego ze złoża „Szczerców”(Data obrony: 2013-10-29) Korczak, Anna Maria
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe lignite in the Polish energy sector is and will remain for the next decades, a strategic raw material used to produce energy and heat. The production of heat and energy, which consists of high temperature coal combustion processes associated with the creation of waste, both solid and volatile, which pose a serious threat to the environment. A particularly negative role in these are heavy metals, such as cadmium. The reducing emissions is one of the conditions to reduce the negative impact of coal on the environment. It is necessary to monitor the contents of toxic elements in coal before his operation. The created maps of pollutants distribution within the deposit in advance will allow to predict the quality of coal which in turn allows for adjustment of the installation of pollution to the environment and thus the implementation of „clean technologies” energy production based on coal. This type of research is also important in view of the legal provisions of the European Union. Poland as a member of the EU is required to cut emissions by 2020 Pb and Cd from the anthropogenic sources. The starting point for the preparation of the Polish energy sector to the inevitable problem of heavy metals emissions should be the monitoring their content in a combustion fuel.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Badania geochemiczne węgla brunatnego według wymagań Unii Europejskiej – oznaczenia ołowiu na przykładzie węgla brunatnego ze złoża „Szczerców”(Data obrony: 2013-10-29) Korniluk, Magdalena
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe energy coal processing power is related to the emission into the atmosphere of many compounds which have a negative impact on the environment The laws of the European Union since 2020 year introducing to limits emissions of $Pb$ and $Cd$ from anthropogenic sources. Before taking actions to reduce emissions need to be carry systematic research of coal quality, with particular reference to the content of the elements polluting the environment, such as $Cd$ and $Pb$. These researches will make it possible to monitor the contents of toxic elements in coal before the operation in order to adapt the energy processing technology of coal to its quality. The research is extremely important in the case of lignite, which is a strategic raw material for the energy production and also low-quality fuel, responsible for emissions of the toxic compounds into the atmosphere.
