Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A Comparative Analysis of Low Carbon Road Transport Policies between Poland and India: A Systematic Literature Review Using Prisma(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2026) Choudhury, Taniya; Aslanoğlu, RenginThe road transport industry is one of the largest carbon-emitting sectors globally. Consequently, it is important to assess the development of the low-carbon policy literature to decarbonize the transportation sector. This study analyzes the low-carbon road transport (LCRT) policies in a developed country, Poland, and a developing country, India, over the past two decades – two countries with distinct socioeconomic contexts but similar environmental objectives. A total of 84 studies were identified through Scopus, Google Scholar, Research Rabbit, and government repositories. Of these, 39 manuscripts met the selection criteria and were included in the review. The PRISMA 2020 checklist was used for methodological evaluation. The findings indicate that Poland outperforms India in technological advancement, infrastructure development, road safety, and digitalization. Both countries need to align their policymaking trajectories with public participation and adopt a multidimensional, people-centric approach. A notable gap in the existing literature is identified: this study provides an in-depth analysis focused exclusively on low-carbon road transport, while broader transportation services remain outside the scope of the research.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Analiza ekonomiczna ogrzewania domu za pomocą pompy ciepła(Data obrony: 2017-01-16) Gąsiorek, Michał
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaW pracy została omówiona zasada działania pompy ciepła typu powietrze-woda i sposób jej wykorzystania do celów grzewczych w budynku jednorodzinnym. Skupiono się na wyliczeniu zapotrzebowania na moc cieplną istniejącego budynku. W tym celu przeprowadzono wywiad z jego mieszkańcami. Stosując specjalistyczne oprogramowanie dokonano wyboru pompy ciepła. Następnie przeprowadzono symulację jej pracy przy różnych obciążeniach cieplnych. Dane zestawiono w arkuszu kalkulacyjnym i na ich podstawie dokonano analizy porównawczej. Most common solar energy installation throughout polish households is a solar collector system which support the production of domestic hot water. At present also more and more popular become photovoltaic systems which produce power used, for example, to heathen up the water in household boilers. The main subject of the following master's thesis is to compare the solar thermal systems to the photovoltaic systems with the usage of Polysun software. The main purpose of this comparison is to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of each system with focus on economic and ecological aspects. The result of this process is that there is no strong advantage of one system with reference to another. However, focusing of a critical category of system implementation costs one can come up to result, that the installation of photothermal system is more cost-effective. There is a strong possibility, that in the future both, photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, will characterize with similar technical features and financial effectiveness.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Benefits and limitations of InSAR-based monitoring of ground movements above cavern underground gas storage sites: a Polish case study(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2026) Blachowski, Jan; Głąbicki, Dariusz; Grzempowski, Piotr; Kaczmarek, Aleksandra; Buczyńska, Anna; Owczarz, Karolina; Benndorf, JörgGround displacement monitoring is a key aspect of assessing the impacts of underground gas storage (UGS). Conventional approaches are based on geodetic methods that, while providing high accuracy, are limited in spatial coverage and temporal resolution. This study assesses the suitability of synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) as a complement to standard ground displacement monitoring and identifies a method with sufficient accuracy to assess ground displacement conditions and facility safety. A comparative analysis was conducted using European Ground Motion Service (EGMS) data and independently derived Sentinel-1-based time series generated with the small baseline subset (SBAS) and persistent scatterer InSAR (PSI) methods. The analysis of a cavern UGS facility located in northern Poland spanned a five-year period from 2019 to 2023 and included error analysis and significance testing of differences between the methods. Observed displacement rates across the study area ranged from −4.3 mm/year for the SBAS method to −0.4 mm/year for PSI. Although the absolute values of the estimated velocities differed among the methods, the differences between the modeled deformation rates were statistically insignificant. The results confirm that InSAR can supplement geodetic monitoring and help investigate seasonal ground deformations associated with gas injection and withdrawal cycles as well as environmental processes, capturing patterns that discrete geodetic measurements may miss.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Dokumentacja osuwisk w rejonie Pietrzejowic, gmina Kocmyrzów-Luborzyca(Data obrony: 2019-01-31) Warias, Katarzyna
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaW pracy przedstawiono aktualną dokumentację dwóch osuwisk w miejscowości Pietrzejowice. Osuwiska powstały w czerwcu 2010 roku po intensywnych opadach deszczu powodując zniszczenia w zabudowaniach i gruntach ornych. W 2018 roku przeprowadzono prace terenowe, których wyniki porównano z dokumentacjami z 2010 roku. Badania wykazały, że osuwiska są aktywne ciągle i od momentu powstania poszerzyły swój zasięg. W dalszym ciągu mogą stanowić zagrożenie dla zabudowań mieszkalnych będących w najbliższym sąsiedztwie osuwisk. Dlatego też przedstawiono zalecenia dla mieszkańców i władz gminy mające wpłynąć na bezpieczeństwo ludzi oraz spowolnienie ruchów osuwiskowych.
