The composite structure has been modelled as an isotropic matrix that surrounds circular grains with random diameters and space position. Analyses were preformed for the rectangular 'numerical sample' by finite element method. FE mesh for the examples were generated using the authors' computer program RandomGrain. Fracture analyses were accomplished with the authors' computer program CrackPath3 executing the 'fine mesh window' technique. Calculations were preformed in 2D space assuming the plane stress state. Current efforts focus on brittle materials such as rocks or concrete.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Equipping the Schwind shaft with a vertical transport device(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Zuski, Zygmunt; Pasek, Rafał; Rożenek, ZenonThe article presents the construction of an inter-level shaft between levels II lower and level III and equipping it with a transport system. The purpose of the project was to provide transport of loose materials and long items from level III to level II lower, which was necessary to secure the mining excavations. Before the investment, only a limited amount of materials could be transported manually by means of ramps.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , FFT-based simulation using a reduced set of frequencies adapted to the underlying microstructure(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2021) Gierden, Christian; Waimann, Johanna; Svendsen, Robert; Reese, StefanieInstead of the classical finite element (FE) based microstructure simulation, a Fast Fourier transform (FFT) based microstructure simulation, introduced by Moulinec and Suquet (1994, 1998), also enables the computation of highly resolved microstructural fields. In this context, the microscopic boundary value problem is captured by the Lippmann-Schwinger equation and solved by using Fast Fourier transforms (FFT) and fixed-point iterations. To decrease the computational effort of the fixed-point solver, Kochmann et al. (2019) introduced a model order reduction (MOR) technique based on solving the Lippmann-Schwinger equation in Fourier space with a reduced set of frequencies. Thereby, the accuracy of this MOR technique depends on the number of used frequencies and the choice of frequencies that are considered within the simulation. Instead of the earlier proposed fixed (Kochmann et al., 2019) or geometrically adapted (Gierden et al., 2021b) sampling patterns, we propose a sampling pattern which is updated after each load step based on the current strain. To show the precision of such a strain-based sampling pattern, an elasto-plastic two-phase composite microstructure is investigated.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Granule nieorganiczno-organiczne jako składnik wzmacniający cementy kostne na bazie alfa TCP(Data obrony: 2017-10-25) Niedźwiecki, Adam

Next, the composites were annealed at a temperature of 1200°C for different holding times. The influence of the annealing temperature and time on the properties and microstructure of AISI316L+8% vol.TiB2 composites was investigated. The structural studies showed the formation of phases containing chromium, molybdenum and boron.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Kompozyty chitozan/tlenek grafenu do zastosowań w inżynierii tkanki chrzęstnej(Data obrony: 2018-09-24) Wesołowska, Paula

Analysis is based on specific choice of RVE combined with micro-macro transition. It leads to evaluation of strength and elastic constants of a composite. Foam behaviour is investigated numerically. Solid skeleton part shape is based on the tetrahedron cut out with spheres. 3D unit cell model is FE discetized. Calculations are performed for foams of selected densities using ABAQUS system. The comparison shows good agreement between the theoretical approach and experimental data. The presented method may be applied to design novel materials such as graphitized foam and nano composites and tailoring these materials for desired elastic properties.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Properties of aluminium-ceramic phase composites produced from P/M compacts in hot forging and extrusion processes(2007) Wojtaszek, MarekThe results of investigations of properties of aluminium-based composites produced by means of powder metallurgy and plastic working processes are presented in the paper. Atomized aluminium po-wder was used as a metallic matrix. As a reinforcement ceramic particles and fibres were used, and their volume fraction was maintained constant at 5%. The initial material to be formed was prepared by mixing of ingredients and compaction of the obtained mixture. Aluminium powder compacts and com-posite mixtures were subjected to consolidation and deformation in closed-die hot forging and hot extrusion processes, applying the extrusion ratio X = 4.11. These processes were realized in isothermal conditions, at the temperature of 500°C. The effect of a type of reinforcing phase as well as method of deformation on selected physical, mechanical and functional properties of obtained materials was ana-lysed. It was found that the proposed method results in obtaining highly compacted products, showing mechanical and functional properties which allow to use them in structural components. The product properties can be controlled by means of selection of a type of reinforcing phase as well as method of deformation.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , The effect of carbon nanoparticles on the conductivity of hydrogels(Data obrony: 2019-01-23) Raś, Marta
