Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Konkretyzm jako ontologia ekologii głębokiej(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2012) Hoły-Łuczaj, MagdalenaIn the article I present concretism (ontological reism, pansomatism) created by Tadeusz Kotarbinski as a possible basis for the ontological claims of deep ecology. I show that reduction of metaphysical categories proposed by Kotarbinski, according to which there are only things (i.e. body, concretes), and related with it criticism of the dualism of »soul-body«, can be defined as a theory of »ontological egalitarianism«. It can be then treated as a justification of »biospherical egalitarianism« and non-anthropocentric vision of reality postulated by deep ecologists. It is possible to identify a number of issues connecting Kotarbinski's ontological concept with main assumptions of deep ecology, which are described by its founder Arne Naess and his disciples.
