Controlling of logistics projects

A logistics project can be defined as a complex, special and unique sets of activities which can be described by technical and economic parameters and is determined by cost, time, and scope in order to aid logistics management in enterprise/supply chain. Controlling of the logistics project is process of measuring progress toward an objective, evaluating what remains to be done, and taking the necessary corrective tasks to achieve or exceed the objectives of the logistics project. This paper describes the idea of logistics projects. The controlling of logistics projects is discussed. In the paper tools dedecated for controlling of logistics projects are presented. The tools can be applied to the controlling process to support the management of logistics projects.

The main goal of this paper is to present the results of research aimed at the determining the scope of controlling of IT projects. The outline of the concept of project controlling was prepared on the basis of literature review. The issues crucial for the possibilities of their application in the process of planning and realizing ITprojects were pointed at. The usage of project controlling was illustrated by the results of pilot research conducted in Polish companies of IT sector.

Projekt i implementacja systemu mobilnego sterowania funkcjami domu

Celem pracy było przygotowanie projektu systemu mobilnego sterowania funkcjami domu oraz jego implementacja. Do jego realizacji wykorzystana została platforma Raspberry Pi, odpowiedzialna za kontrolowanie elementów elektroniki. Implementacja części programowej wykonana została w językach Python, HTML i CSS oraz JavaScript. Podstawową biblioteką użytą w projekcie został napisany w języku Python Flask. W wyniku powstała aplikacja internetowa, pozwalająca na kontrolowanie oświetlenia i zamka elektromagnetycznego drzwi wejściowych. Przygotowane zostały odpowiednie prototypy urządzeń pozwalające na symulowanie działania rzeczywistych elementów.

The impact of digitization on corporate controlling and the role of controllers

Digitization is a megatrend that strongly influences organisations and is reflected in all business processes and operational functions. It is therefore not surprising that controlling is also affected by digitization. This paper first defines and explains the key sub-processes of controlling and describes the traditional role and tasks of controllers that are derived from this. Next, selected technologies such as the internet of things, big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence are described in detail and their influence on controlling and the role of the controller is analysed. It is shown that digitization is already having a significant impact on controlling and still holds considerable potential for the future. This will also lead inevitably to a continuous refinement of the role and tasks of controllers, whereby they will have to further expand their knowledge and skills in the future.
