    Badania właściwości mechanicznych stali do produkcji dyskowych narzędzi urabiających dla górnictwa

    The disc cutting tools used in the past in longwall shearer has been withdrawn because of extremely high dynamic loading of its elements. Several positive aspects of these solutions are still topic of both theoretical and experimental works which are possible thanks a tremendous progress in thermal and chemise-thermal treatment of the steel. The paper presents results of multi variant investigations made at the laboratory of »Celsa« Steel Work, which have to help in receiving material with needed properties. The results of the research have to improve knowledge about construction of new machines for mining industry.

    Możliwości wykorzystania zespołów frezujących do urabiania zwięzłych skał spągowych w warunkach kopalń węgla kamiennego i brunatnego

    Formations of cohesive rocks, which are hardly mined with use of actually used bucket-wheel excavators are often found during blanket mining in brown coal mines. A new solution of the cutting system moved on caterpillar chassis allowing mining of such rocks has been described in this study. Construction and principle of operation of such cutting unit, as well as preliminary results of the machine operation have been described for conditions met during floor mining in underground mines.

    Przegląd narzędzi wiercących stosowanych do wykonywania horyzontalnych przewiertów sterowanych

    The newest drilling tools used for HDD technology are presented in the paper. New designs and new applications of these tools for specific geological conditions are described. There has been no codification of such tools so far, therefore the authors suggested guidelines for tools classification for the purposes of horizontal drilling technology. They also formulated recommendations concerning technical decisions on drilling tools selection on the basis of their wear analysis.
