Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Agent-based data integration framework(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2014) Faber, ŁukaszCombining data from diverse, heterogeneous sources while facilitating a unified access to it is an important (albeit difficult) task. There are various possibilities of performing it. In this publication, we propose and describe an agent-based framework dedicated to acquiring and processing distributed, heterogeneous data collected from diverse sources (e.g., the Internet, external software, relational, and document databases). Using this multi-agent-based approach in the aspects of the general architecture (the organization and management of the framework), we create a proof-of-concept implementation. In Polish Oil and Gas Company, the project called as »Digital reservoir« based on the interactive IAM platform was initiated, thanks to which the work of all upstream segments was integrated, starting from geophysics, geology through reservoir engineering, production engineering, process engineering ending with the economic model that allows for verification of the economic efficiency of the investment. This paper presents the methodology of integration all of the above elements and the results of the IAM system implementation with further production forecasts, on the example of selected natural gas reservoirs in the Polish Lowlands being PGNiG S.A. assets.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Integracja wyników skanowania laserowego i pomiarów fotogrametrycznych na przykładzie inwentaryzacji nagrobka Anny Jagiellonki w Katedrze Wawelskiej(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Rzonca, AntoniThe paper presents a possibility of usage of close-range photogrammetry and 3D laser scanning as integrated technological process. The approach was shown by solving the test model -considered the representative field material. As a model there was used the monument of Queen Anna Jagiellonka, established in renaissance period in Wawel King's Catedral in Cracow, Poland. Developing of the technology required arranging two geometrical filters for point cloud preparation. Point clouds were used as geometrical information for orthorectification process. The obtained result positively verified author's hypothesis, that the integration of scanning and photogrammetric data is an alternative for classical orthophotogrammetric technology. Such a possibility is an effect of laser scanning technology potential.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Integration of data from heterogeneous sources using ETL technology(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2014) Macura, MarekData integration is a crucial issue in the environments of heterogeneous data sources. At present, the afore-mentioned heterogeneity is becoming widespread. Based on various data sources, if we want to gain useful information and knowledge, we must solve data integration problems in order to apply appropriate analytical methods to comprehensive and uniform data. Such activity is known as knowledge discovery from the data process. Therefore, approaches to the data integration problem are very interesting and bring us closer to the »age of information«. This paper presents an architecture which implements knowledge discovery from the data process. The solution combines ETL technology and a wrapper layer known from mediated systems. It also provides semantic integration through connection mechanism between data elements. The solution allows for integration of any data sources and implementation of analytical methods in one environment. The proposed environment is verified by applying it to data sources in the foundry industry.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , PyLiGram – Research Application for LiDAR Data Processing Based on Photogrammetric Methods(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2025) Rzonca, Antoni ; Twardowski, MariuszThis paper presents the functionality and research possibilities of an application that is based on two concepts: the use of photogrammetric analysis for LiDAR data processing (lidargrammetry), and the assignments of identifiers to cloud points in order to be able to return to the original points after processing without data loss and redundant processing. The research tool has, thus far, been developed for the implementation of two distinct LiDAR data-enhancement processes. The initial approach involves the altimetric transformation of the LiDAR data (a process that is founded on the principles of stereo model deformation theory), and the second process employs lidargrammetry for the purpose of 3D local point-cloud corrections, global changes, or non-rigid transformation. This is achieved by applying blocks of lidargrams and their subsequent matching and adjustments.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The ontology alignment system based on algorithms using data similarity metrics(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Pietroń, Marcin; Wiatr, KazimierzIntegracja danych pochodzących z różnych źródeł danych jest bardzo ważnym zagadnieniem w złożonych systemach informatycznych oraz systemach opierających się na sieci globalnej. Rosnąca ilość gromadzonych danych powoduje, że wykonanie operacji integracji danych pochodzących z różnych źródeł dotyczących podobnej dziedziny wiedzy staje się niezbędne. Z tego powodu prowadzone są prace nad opracowaniem algorytmów, aby wykonywały taką operację w sposób automatyczny. Algorytmy te mają dwa główne kryteria jakości. Dokładność mapowania i rozpoznawania pokrewnych elementów oraz złożoność obliczeniową. Publikacja przedstawia prototyp systemu mapowania ontologii (w formacie OWL) opierający się na szacowaniu podobieństwa strukturalnego i lingwistycznego. Podobieństwo to liczone na starcie algorytmu mapowania zmniejsza złożoność algorytmu często zachowując tę samą jakość mapowania. It also draws attention to potential problems encountered in the process of data integration with the use of state-of-the-art processing technologies and making available geographical information. The authors also introduce the issue of the quality of processed data in the aspect of their accuracy and reliability, and the possibility of their incorporating into Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) resources.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Using advanced data mining and integration in environmental prediction scenarios(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2012) Habala, Ondrej; Hluchý, Ladislav; Tran, Viet; Krammer, Peter; Šeleng, MartinWe present one of the meteorological and hydrological experiments performed in the FP7 project ADMIRE. It serves as an experimental platform for hydrologists, and we have used it also as a testing platform for a suite of advanced data integration and data mining (DMI) tools, developed within ADMIRE. The idea of ADMIRE is to develop an advanced DMI platform accessible even to users who are not familiar with data mining techniques. To this end, we have designed a novel DMI architecture, supported by a set of software tools, managed by DMI process descriptions written in a specialized high-level DMI language called DISPEL, and controlled via several different user interfaces, each performing a different set of tasks and targeting different user group.
