Automatyzacja procesu generalizacji kartograficznej i jej wyników prezentowanych na mapie

This paper shows the application of the Molenaar formal data structure model in a MRDB--type database meant to objects automated elimination and simplification while scale changing and those objects visualization methods. Generalization process and visualization results objective criterions are established in the solution. In the elimination process there are classes and objects hierarchies used, which are based on the graph theory. The simplification process is based on the hierarchy of points describing the object, established using relative extrema. Both these processes verification is based on the drawing recognizability criterion. In the object simplification results visualization methods there are normal distribution's properties and drawing recognizability criterion used to establish so called generalization thresholds (of the simplified objects). The thresholds are used to establish the scales ranges for the generalization results visualization methods.

The subject of the thesis was to design and create a database of geoturistic objects in Poland. Work focuses on Polish territory with particular emphasis on the Sudet. The direct reason for the project was the need for a database associated with the implementation of the contract for the project called Sudetic Geostrada. The database has been designed as a relational database model and created on the database management system MySQL. The database contains tens tables. The database was constructed so as to be able to use it in various projects. The database is used and supplemented by an application that allows users access online (through the website). The application also allows users to generate reports based on data stored in a created database, so the work are discussed references between the application and the database.

Dawne i obecne kamieniołomy piaskowca godulskiego na Pogórzu Lanckorońskim – inwentaryzacja, budowa bazy danych (GIS) i analiza perspektyw

W archiwach Pracowni Surowców Skalnych Katedry Geologii Złożowej i Górniczej, dawniej Zakład Złóż Surowców Skalnych znajduje się wiele niepublikowanych zbiorów danych. Dane te należy utrwalić na nośnikach cyfrowych, aby nie uległy rozproszeniu oraz aby były łatwiejsze w analizie. Do analizy danych pomocny jest program QGIS. Dzięki temu programowi wyznaczone zostały współrzędne wybranych kamieniołomów piaskowca godulskiego na obszarze tzw. Pogórza Lanckorońskiego. To z kolei pozwoliło na zwiad geologiczny i aktualizacje wiedzy na temat tych wychodni. Działania te dały możliwość oceny perspektyw wznowienia wydobycia piaskowca godulskiego. Niestety przez obecne warunki środowiskowe i ekonomiczne wznowienie jest nierentowne.

The new requirements to make safe and optimal excavation force BOT KWB Turów SA to find new solutions to new needs. The modern Information System for Miners is the solution in which miners apply digital tools to collect, processing, store and combine geological, survey and geotechnical information. Formation of Information System for Miners, start from building digital map. At present the digital maps are joined with the Geological Database and there are the base component of GSI. Departments of BOT KWB Turów SA use this Information System: Survey Dept, Geological Dept, Mining Dept, Geotechnical Dept. Measurable advantages: safe time, lowering employee, give up external services. Immeasurable advantages: increase data credibility, elimination wrong economic decisions and catastrophic events like landslides.

Internetowy system do zarządzania tematami prac dyplomowych

Celem pracy było utworzenie systemu wspomagającego zarządzanie prac dyplomowych odbywających się na uczelni. Aplikacja została w całości zaimplementowana jako system Internetowy pozwalający użytkownikom na dostęp z dowolnego miejsca i z dowolnego urządzenia posiadającego dostęp do sieci. System pozwala na dostęp wszystkim osobom powiązanym z zagadnieniem prac dyplomowych, dzieląc ich na charakterystyczne podgrupy mające dostęp do określonych funkcjonalności. Skutecznie wspomaga przepływ informacji wewnątrz uczelni oraz umożliwia komunikacje między poszczególnymi jednostkami. Projekt zbudowano w sposób modułowy umożliwiający łatwe modyfikacje i rozszerzanie o dodatkowe funkcjonalności.

Krótkookresowe planowanie robót górniczych z wykorzystaniem oprogramowania MineScape w BOT KWB »Bełchatów« SA

Short-term mining activity planning has being carried on in BOT KWB Bełchatów SA since late seventies of last century. Work-plans for primary machines are being prepared for all stripping & mining levels of Bełchatów and Szczerców pits as well as spoil-banks of each pit individually. In it's mining part, a work-plan includes following types ot information: current pit geometry, location of drill holes, current and planned location of relevant conveyor belt together with conveyor segments numbering (every 10th segment numbered), descriptions of planned mining technology activities. In it's geological part a work-plan include information on total volume, quantity & quality of coal and accompanying minerals, planned for excavation in a given mining-pass, natural hazards, equipment left in drill holes, cartographic picture of current mining bench. Considering the amount of data gathered and documented on a work-plan map, and amount of work involved in creation of such maps/documents, ever since early nineties of last century a computer-based systems have been used to support the process of creating them. In the mining part of a work-plan creation it was UK based software system called MOSS/TM (and it's newer version called MX/TM). For geological part it was UK based system DATAMINE/TM and computer programs created by Poltegor-Instylut (database + related programs). In 2004 BOT KWB Bełchatów SA purchased software system called MINESCAPE/TM produced by an Australian software company MINC0M/TM. Based on digital models of deposit geology, considering areas of expected natural hazards, technical parameters of machines and also based on long-term mining plans (so called directive mine designs), the excavator work-plan is being created using MINESCAPE/TM system.

Low frequency identification of critical states of transmission tower structures

Transmission towers are vital parts of the overhead power line infrastructures. Any damage to these supporting structures may result in decreased load-bearing capacity and, in consequence, their collapse. Failures of transmission towers are much more severe than power failures, as they not only cause interruption to the energy supply but can also result in considerable costs of infrastructure repairs and damage. Therefore, supporting structures of overhead power lines should be subjected to structural health monitoring. This paper presents a comprehensive database containing natural frequencies and strain energies of all elements for various (simulated) damage states. On the basis of structure modal parameters, by finding the correlation between natural frequencies of damaged structure stored in the created database and natural frequencies of the structure of interest, state of the test structure can be identified. In order to verify this method, a numerical experiment was carried out. Observing the strain energy variation as compared to the undamaged state makes it possible to localize the damage and assess its importance for the further structure exploitation.

Metody optymalizacji przez indeksowanie dla obiektowego języka zapytań

In paper we present an overview of query optimization by indexing for SBQL (Stack-Based Query Language). Developed methods have been implemented and tested in ODRA prototype system. The ODRA index implementation is based on linear hashing and works in a scope of a standalone database. It consists of transparent optimization, automatic index updating and management facilities. The semantic equivalence of proposed query optimization methods in the context of object data model and query language is discussed on several examples.

The following paper deals with possibilities for retrieving information from raster images stored in a database. The aim of this paper is to present a possibility to use IT tools in the form of databases for processing and analyzing large image sets based on methods of image analysis and mathematical morphology. Up to now the use of databases in the image analysis process has been reduced to storing large amounts of data in the form of images. However, all transformations and analyses of such sets are made on the user’s PC. This requires on the one hand a large data set (images) to be sent by network each time, but on the other hand this may pose problems resulting from managing a such large amounts of analyzed photographs on a PC. The proposed approach completely eliminates these problems by moving all transformations of image analysis on to a database platform. For this purpose a set of routines realizing transformations of image analysis and mathematical morphology was developed. The proposed approach allows the unification of the image processing and analysis area and advanced statistical analyses of obtained parameters describing geometrical sizes of objects on photographs. The proposed methodology was illustrated by practical realization of three measurement types for a simple structure of copper concentrate, limestones from Santok, dolomits from Buszewo, dolomits from Baszyna, dolomits from Kościan and more complicated, from the point of view of image analysis, structures such as dolomites from Rędziny and Laskowa Góra and sandstones from Tumlin and Wiśniówka. An author’s approach for the possibility of a support system construction for the process of exploration of such data is proposed. The following article describes construction and implementation aspects.

Niniejsza praca zawiera opis projektowania i implementacji aplikacji na urządzenia mobilne z systemem Android, której zadaniem jest umożliwienie użytkownikom zarządzania zdarzeniami takimi jak szkolenia, koncerty lub inne wydarzenia. Aplikacja została zaimplementowana przy pomocy bazy danych NoSQL Firebase oraz przetestowana na różnych urządzeniach. W pracy są przedstawione zarówno użyte narzędzia oraz technologie, jak i wyniki testów oraz dalsze możliwości rozwoju aplikacji.

The system was implemented using MSSQL. The performance tests were performed and described.

Celem pracy było stworzenie mobilnego systemu do rejestracji danych dotyczących środowiska naturalnego. System przeznaczony jest do rejestracji opisów skał sporządzanych przez geologów. W pracy zostały przedstawione poszczególne etapy projektowania oraz implementacji aplikacji. Opisane są w niej wymagania oraz wszystkie wykorzystane technologie oraz rozwiązania. Powstały system składa się z kilku komponentów takich jak bazy danych czy aplikacja mobilna, których zasadę działania oraz budowę także zawarto w pracy. Aplikacja pozwala użytkownikowi na przeglądanie stworzonych przez innych użytkowników wpisów, które zawierają informację o skałach oraz dodawanie własnych wpisów. Istnieje również możliwość komentowania istniejących opisów.

Zostały w niej przedstawione użyte narzędzia oraz technologie, wykorzystywane do zrealizowania celu pracy. Przeprowadzono testy na urządzeniach o różnej specyfikacji, których analiza pozwoliła na zaprezentowanie wniosków dotyczących działania aplikacji oraz przedstawieniu możliwości dalszego rozwoju.

Zostały w niej opisane kolejne etapy projektowania i implementacji aplikacji internetowej. Przedstawione zostały wymagania jakie musi spełniać, opisane zostały wykorzystane technologie i narzędzia oraz pokazane zostało działanie gotowego produktu. Powstała aplikacja pozwala użytkownikom przeglądać informacje o pomnikach przyrody, dodawać nowe wpisy do bazy oraz swobodnie oceniać i komentować treści.

Simulation of extraction rate and scheduling based on geological and quality models as a method of mine planning in modern mining

This paper is a result of PRGW's (Drilling and Geological Works Enterprise) efforts in promotion, implementation and application of information technology system supporting mineral/ore resources management. The authors present modern mine design and planning based on digital model of geological deposit. The paper gives also a characteristics of computer software Mine2-4D and CADSMine developed for mine planning and scheduling, and based on three-dimensional, virtual models of mine structure. Examples are used to present the main features of these tools.
