Decomposition techniques for full-waveform airborne laser scanning data

This article provides an overview of full-waveform airborne laser scanning data processing methods. Since 2004, when the first commercial small-footprint full-waveform LiDAR system was introduced, a vast amount of studies have been carried out on the potential of utilizing full-waveform data in various fields such as forestry, archaeology, urban areas modelling and point cloud classification, resulting in a range of approaches to the processing of full-waveform data. This research is an attempt to systematize the knowledge in this field. The first part of this paper presents a brief description of the full-waveform system. Then, the typical methods of data processing are described, starting from simple peak detection methods, followed by methods based on wave modelling using basic functions, and going on to an analysis focused on the correlation between an emitted and backscattered signal.

Praca skupia się na szacowaniu koncentracji pierwiastków na podstawie pomiarów spektrometrycznych gamma oraz spektrometrycznych neutron – gamma. W pracy wspomniano o źródłach kwantów gamma i neutronów oraz o ich oddziaływaniach z materią. Bardzo ważnym procesem w niniejszej pracy jest dekompozycja, która została przeprowadzony na podstawie dekompozycji zaproponowanej przez Jacobsona. Praca koncentruje się na badaniu wpływu rozdzielczości zastosowanego detektora oraz ilości okien energetycznych na szacowanie koncentracji poszczególnych pierwiastków.

Universal third parts of any complete 2-graph and none of DK5

It is shown that there is no digraph $F$ which could decompose the complete digraph on 5 vertices minus any 2-arc remainder into three parts isomorphic to $F$ for each choice of the remainder. On the other hand, for each $n\ge3$ there is a universal third part $F$ of the complete 2-graph $^2K_n$ on $n$ vertices, i.e., for each edge subset $R$ of size $|R|=\|^2K_n\| \bmod 3$, there is an $F$-decomposition of $^2K_n-R$. Using an exhaustive computer-aided search, we find all, exactly six, mutually nonisomorphic universal third parts of the 5-vertex 2-graph. Nevertheless, none of their orientations is a universal third part of the corresponding complete digraph.
