    The aim of this thesis is to define geological-mining and environmental conditions of chalcedonite deposit “Teofilów”. It is very important, because is affected by selecting appropriate mining technologies, evaluating the possibility of threats, impact on the natural environment and selecting the direction of restoration. Thickness of deposit, variablility, blanket, tectonics, hydrogeological conditions, resources and assessment of impacting on the environment were taken into account. The deposit is located in the central Poland within Inowłódz anticline. This is a rare kind of deposit in Poland, because only four such mineral deposits have been documented. The deposit has simple geological structure. Oxford chalcedonites are exploited. They were formed in shallow sea with good parameters of ventilation and salinity. The mine does not significantly affect to the environment. The deposit should be protected.
