In consequence of their magnificence, they are compared to monumental basements, passages etc. Because of their uniqueness, the possibility of adaptation for touristic purposes is seriously considered. The article identifies threats, defines formal and technical requirements in terms of individual or partial adaptation. The basic method used in testing has become the magnetic testing method of steel ropes (MTR). Despite the extensively developed knowledge, equipment, and methods of analysing diagnostic signals, difficult to access places and the ends of steel ropes are not fully covered by diagnostics. Visual inspection, which is one of the basic methods of non-destructive testing in this area of ropes, has many limitations. This area of magnetic defectoscopy is a place where new solutions and structures for testing steel ropes are created. The article presents an example of solutions used for diagnostics in places with difficult access. A new concept of a diagnostic system for magnetic testing of ropes in these sections is described. It needs to identify specific indicators for particular classes of defects. The paper presents possibilities to define such indicators for transverse crack occurring in the rotor of 200 MW turbo-set. The investigations were performed in the way of computer simulations utilizing the NLDW computer code. It bases on non linear model of bearings and Knott crack model. Crack propagation influence on the machine's dynamic state was examined. A resonance being a function of crack depth was detected. The amplitude and phase spectra were discussed as crack indicators as well as torsional/axial vibrations couplings.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Diagnostics and life prediction of pumping unit reducers by vibration analysis(2008) Kopej, Bogdan Volodimirovič; Bednarz, Stanisław; Stefanišin, OksanaThe problem of determination of the technical state of pumping units reducing gears sharply is based on the estimation of their resource in the process of exploitation and after the repair in the conditions of repair base. It is especially needed to know descriptions of vibrations of reducing gears of pumping units by which it is possible to judge about the presence of defects, wear, damages or deformations of basic assemblies of reducing gears of different type. On the basis of classification of defects and connection them with vibroacoustic descriptions of reducing gears of pumping units the method of estimation of their technical state is developed and a remaining resource is forecast. During the long term work of machine the change of its state is fixed on the basis of collection and treatment of statistical information about the parameters of vibration. As a diagnostic parameter the dispersion of level of vibration is often used in practice. Acceptable the procedure of comparison of spectrum of vibrosignal, measured on the diagnosed equipment, with the spectrum of vibrosignal, measured before on equipment, or on equipment in good condition. On the basis of the vibroacoustic signal processing it is possible to define quality of repair. The use of functional-cost analysis of reducing gears of pumping units is conducted for cutting of costs on their repair.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Effect of changes in operating power of gasmotocompressors 10 GKN on the diagnostic signs of connecting rod bearings defects(2013) Kopej, Bogdan Volodimirovič; Galiy, S. I.; Bednarz, StanisławThe increasing of gasmotocompressors (GMC) reliability, operated on the booster compressor stations, underground gas storages with significant deterioration of the park units are the actual problems. The greatest attention should be paid timely detection of conrod bearings defects for the prevention of necks crankshaft scoring. Statistics increase of late crank bearings defects shows that scheduled repairs not ensure reliable operation of GMC. Improving the reliability of GMC through the detection in time the crank bearings defects is only possible using the methods and diagnostic tools for calculating the probability of failure-free operation, equipment failure rate during its operation. Increased probability of crank bearings defects detection is possible by the determination of dependence of levels of crank bearings vibration on gasmotocompressors 10 GKN operational capacity. For efficient conducting of connecting rod vibration condition monitoring on units with different power the software was developed and methods of using the obtained models depending on the power levels of vibration were elaborated.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Identification of physical parameters of rigid rotor in magnetic bearings(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Gosiewski, Zdzisław; Górmiński, MarekIdentification of physical parameters of unstable system, as magnetic bearing is, is an important problem, for example in the design of its diagnostic system. Most of the identification methods are applied for stable systems, without requiring feedback terms for identification purpose. However, for identification of marginally stable or unstable systems, feedback control is required to ensure the overall system stability. In many cases, a system, although stable, may be operated in the closed-loop, and it is impossible to remove the existing feedback controller for security or for production reasons. In diagnostic systems, there are usually observed trends in changes of physical parameters (e.g., mass, resistance, inductance, and so on). The physical realization is one of the possible system realizations. For any dynamic system, although Markov system parameters are unique, the realized state-space model is not unique. If one needs to compare the identified state-space model with the analytical model, both models have to be in the same coordinates. An identification method of the state-space model resulting from the physics laws is presented in the paper. The method is a modification of the OKID method and it works exactly in the case when the sum of the input number and output number eguals to the dimension of the state vector. There is no always possibility to measure the state vector, so for identification, it is estimated by deadbeat state observer. On the base of the reconstructed model it is possible to extract ARX model of observer/controller. This model is used to obtain the physical state-space model of the open-loop system for voltage controlled magnetic bearings. As a plant we consider a rigid rotor supported by magnetic bearings. Przedstawione wyniki uzyskano dla różnych przypadków uszkodzeń silnika lub wystąpienia niecentryczności statycznej lub dynamicznej. W prezentowanych widmach składowej zgodnej można zauważyć przypadku wystąpienia niecentryczności statycznej lub niecentryczności dynamicznej dodatkowe prążki w stosunku do widma prądu fazowego. Można przypuszczać, że na podstawie pojawienia się tych dodatkowych częstotliwości istnieje możliwość detekcji niecentryczności wirnika. This situation induce authors to create the machine vision device for belt cover inspection and process source signal from magnetic scanner of belt cord. The aim is to work out comprehensive set of devices and algorithm processing collected data and making integrating evaluations of belts condition in order to aid taking rational decisions about their replacements taking into consideration possibility of effective and economically profitable belt refurbishment. System will be not only used for assessment of belt and its core condition, but also will protect belt and conveyor before catastrophic event such us longitudinal rips. It will also create schedules of essential repair works. Due to close cooperation with future users the worked out system should very well fulfill their needs. They can be taken into account at the design stage and during defining its functionality. Authors of solutions have decided to put more attention on possibility of automation of carried out assessments and their recording in databases in order to minimize necessity of human interpretation and intervention everywhere it will be possible. Main topics of the paper cover: basic parameters of monitored belt conveyor, list of elements being monitored and acquired variables. A several types of acquisition channels has been defined, namely: vibration (acceleration), current, rotational shaft speed and temperature. Location of sensor has also been proposed. Some detailed information has been provided regarding diagnostics and monitoring methods. The information stream, its structure and timing and some technical issues as data transmission standards selections have been described. At the end a dedicated user interface has been discussed. Podano wyniki pomiarów i analiz dwóch rzeczywistych maszyn. Przypadek pierwszy dotyczy maszyny o mocy 400 kW a drugi o mocy 1,1 kW. W obu przypadkach wyniki analiz diagnostycznych wskazują na obecność przerwanych prętów w klatkach ich wirników. Analizy diagnostyczne wykonano dwoma metodami. Pierwsza polegała na zastosowaniu tradycyjnego cyfrowego filtrowania dolnoprzepustowego. Druga, nowoczesna, polegała na zastosowaniu dekompozycji falkowej. Issues of analysis and modeling of electric power systems, integration of distributed generation sources into the electric power system, support for the design of insulating systems of electric power equipment and methods of diagnostics of insulating systems in the electric power industry are presented. This paper is one of results of cooperation between Wrocław University of Technology and Open Cast Mine »Konin« that is focused on diagnostic procedures for supporting maintenance of this strategic object. One of the most important issue is time varying external load that is observed during normal operation, it affects all stages of diagnostics process (measurements, signal preprocessing, feature extraction and reasoning). Diagnostics without load monitoring very often gives incorrect results (no detection of failures or false alarms). In the frame of mentioned cooperation a few experiments has been carried out, the idea of a diagnostic system with load as the criterion of adaptation of diagnostics has been proposed. In this paper the basic ideas of this system and initial results have been presented.
