    The purpose of presented M.A thesis was to create an application generating viewshed from chosen viewpoint on given digital elevation model. Whole application was written in Java programming language. The accuracy of results was proven by comparison with photographs from assumed points on digital map of Kraków and surroundings. Viewshed map was created in order to present the results.

    This thesis aims to use hydrological modeling to show closest to real and measured hydrological conditions and groundwater flow in the area near landfill in Makow Podhalanski. In the first section is presented the area of the research, landfill site and description of hydrogeological and geological conditions. In the second section is presented description of model making and results of calculations in the form of maps.
