Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe aim of this thesis is to develop algorithms for pattern matching in digital images that can be used for efficient editing of three-dimensional models of the heart. The proposed algorithms are then to be implemented in a desktop application. .NET framework allows for a fast creation of software that can work on different operating systems. Support for the DICOM format enables a direct cooperation with the medical equipment. Using these technologies a 3D heart model editor was written. Models created with this application can then be used in the CT2TEE echocardiography simulator. Developed algorithms are characterized by relatively low computational complexity, which combined with precision allows for quick selection of threedimensional structures in the edited model.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Automation of measurements of selected targets of photopoints in application to photogrammetric reconstruction of road accidents(2013) Bernat, Katarzyna; Tokarczyk, ReginaPresently, the use of photogrammetric methods in various measurement tasks is becoming more and more popular. More and more often, the achievements of photogrammetry are utilized in the reconstruction of road accidents, thus making it possible to measure the post-accident situation not only on the site but also in desk work conditions based on accident site photos. Before a photo is taken, it is necessary to target measurement points in a proper way. The measurement of those targets takes place most often in an automatic mode. During the reconstruction of road accidents, most often targets in the form of black and white cheąuered patterns, fixed at the ends of a metal cross, are used. Such targets considerably impede the measurement automation (cf. perspective distortions and scale differences). In this paper an attempt was made at creating a program for an automatic detection and measurement of those targets. For that purpose, Matlab v. 7.10 package was applied. Due to that type of signalling, only a qualified success was attained, since target measurement needed to be supported by the program user. Also another way of signalling was proposed that enabled encoding of point numbers. Signs in the form of ring codes were selected. Algorithms of automatic detection, measurement and the identification of signals in digital images were developed. The created algorithms performed well under field conditions, and also allowed for the determination of detailed rules of making photos in accident sites.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Geological mapping of North Wazirstan, Pakistan using remotely sensed images(Data obrony: 2017-10-06) Nawaz, Adil
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaDigitally enhanced OLI Landsat 8 images were applied for mapping of North Waziristan Pakistan. The territory is rough and without rich vegetation; the exposure of the Waziristan ophiolite, related sedimentary lithologies and inaccessibility to the area made the utilization of Landsat information helpful in this investigation. In the remote sensing investigation, Landsat 8 OLI data were used to make band ratios, band combinations, principal component and image classification methods. Multispectral images were prepared and investigated for this study. On the basis of the image classification techniques; unsupervised classification, five principle lithological units are marked which are giving satisfactory results (about 63.07 %.) when compared with referenced geological map using confusion matrix analysis. The outcomes are very satisfied and need to examine about the utility and confinements of remote sensing strategy on the investigation zone. Further to confirm the results of unsupervised classification, extra investigations might be helpful. As a results, issues confronted during the classification must be considered into all general accuracy.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ kompresji JPEG na wykrywanie cech na obrazach cyfrowych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Jachimski, Józef; Mikrut, ZbigniewIn the paper some methods of image analysis of the influences of the JPEG compression on feature extraction on digital images are presented. The problem of compression of digital images has an important meaning in case of work on images consisting a cartometric material. It happens in digital photogrammetry, where geometric accuracy is the ground of the measurements. The measures of the quality losses proposed in this paper allow to estimate an influence of various compressions on cartometry. This are: mean error of point position on digital image after compression, in comparison with uncompressed image, and the second measure - correlation coefficient of images. The experiments were performed on satellite images QuicBird, which record images in four spectral bands with resolution 2,4 m.
