Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe results of synthesis and experimental determination of basic thermodynamic properties of fluorpyromorphite Pb5(PO4)3F are presented. Synthesized solid was characterized using X-ray diffraction, Infra-red spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The pH of congruent dissolution was determined to be between 2 and 3. In a kinetic experiment far from equilibrium the dissolution rate equals 30,3 mg·dm-3·min-1 FPY. Solubility constant increases with temperature. At 25 oC the solubility constant equals to K?SP = 10-77,37 while ?H?f,FPY = 4261,68 kJ·mol-1, S?f,FPY = 563 J·mol-1 and ?G?f,FPY = -3903,14 kJ·mol-1.
