Authors describe aspects of transparent integration of distributed data into an object-oriented data grid with application of the p2p technology and introducing extremely crucial issues of indexing. The presented solution has been implemented and verified in the completely functional prototype. The paper presents basics of application of the p2p architecture and procedures of indexing data originating from remote sources. These procedures accelerate data access by orders of magnitude and data transportation becomes limited to the necessary minimum.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Nanoparticles distribution and agglomeration analysis in electrospun fiber based composites for desired mechanical performance of poly(3-hydroxybuty-rate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate (PHBV) scaffolds with hydroxyapatite (HA) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) towards medical applications(2022) Karbowniczek, Joanna; Ura, Daniel Paweł; Stachewicz, Urszula
Wydział Inżynierii Metali i Informatyki PrzemysłowejScaffolds designed for tissue engineering must meet multiple criteria, including mechanical performance matching particular tissue properties. One of the strategies to improve electrospun scaffolds strength is the incorporation of ceramic nanoparticles. In this work, the effect of the addition of hydroxyapatite (HA) and titanium dioxide ($TiO_{2}$) nanoparticles on tensile strength, elongation and toughness of poly (3-hydroxybuty-rate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate (PHBV) based fibers was tested. Samples morphology along with chemical composition and particles distribution were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Mechanical properties of PHBV-based electrospun scaffolds were correlated with the nanoparticles' distributions examined via microscopy analysis to understand the failure mechanism of composite fibers. We observed a significant improvement of mechanical properties of composites containing HA nanoparticles compared with solely PHBV fibers. Notably, 3 times higher tensile strength and strain at failure, followed by 16 times improved toughness, was correlated with homogenous distribution of HA nanoparticles with an average area of aggregates reaching 0.11 μm2. At the same time, two times larger $TiO_{2}$ aggregates were irregularly formed along PHBV fibers and caused deterioration of their mechanical properties. We showed the relevant strategy of particle distribution in fibers that are able to tailor mechanical properties by controlling the size and distribution of ceramic fillers in hybrid scaffolds.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Partial coordination may increase overall costs in supply chains(2008) Kaczmarczyk, WaldemarThis paper presents a computational study to evaluate the impact of coordinating production and distribution planning in a two-level industrial supply chain. Three planning methods are compared. The first emulates the traditional way of planning. The two other coordinate plans of the supplier and of all the buyers according to the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) approach. The monolithic method solves a single model describing the entire optimization problem. The sequential method copies the imperfect VMI practice. All three methods are implemented by means of Mixed Integer Programming models. The results presented prove that the right choice of planning method is very important for overall cost of the supply chain. In contrast to the previous research, it turned out that information sharing without full coordination may even lead to increase in the overall cost. For some companies applying the VMI approach, developing exact models and solving them almost optimally may therefore be very important.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Pole konkrecjonośne Clarion-Clipperton - źródło surowców w przyszłości(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Kotliński, Ryszard A.The paper presents revealed relationships and regularities of polymetallic nodules distribution occurring on the Clarion-Clipperton nodules field. The strict correlations between morfostructural development of the region with the Pacific Plate evolution in the mezo-cenozic were demonstrated. The seabed form characteristics are direct reflection of geological development and changing sedimentation conditions determining the formation of productive nodule deposits. The selected hydrogenetic nodule type »H« with higher relative contents of Fe and Co shows in comparison against diagenetic type »D« and transition type »HD« lower contents of Mn, Ni and Cu. In the IOM mining area the greatest significance have type »D« and »HD« (with increased content of REE) and high nodules abundance and metal content, occurring at depth interval of 4200-4500 m. Adopted criteria for mining area delineation, including high nodule abundance above 10 $kg/m^{2}$ and Mn content ( 30%) and high grade sum of Cu, Ni, Co 2,5% and bottom slope 7 degree, confirm the IOM ore deposits can be considered perspective.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Przestrzenie Sobolewa(Data obrony: 2017-07-12) Ziętek, Przemysław

Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaW ramach prezentowanego projektu wykonano statystyczną analizę zmienności trzech parametrów złożowych: miąższości złoża bilansowego [m], zawartości miedzi [%] oraz zasobności jednostkowej miedzi [kg/m2] we fragmencie złoża bilansowego należącego do Zakładu Górniczego Lubin. Obliczone współczynniki zmienności parametrów złożowych upoważniają do zaliczenia ich do drugiej grupy zmienności natomiast dokładność oszacowań średnich wartości parametrów kwalifikuje je do kategorii A rozpoznania. Wykazano, że stosowanie w praktyce geologicznej rozkładów normalnych i najlepiej dopasowanych do rozkładów empirycznych skomplikowanych rozkładów teoretycznych daje zbliżone rezultaty.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Zarządzanie ryzykiem portfela aktywów o grubych ogonach(Data obrony: 2011-10-28) Spadło, Renata
