Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaTectonic forms involving a tectonic crustal deformation resulting in rupture of rock layers are faults and graben. Reduction in this type of geology can be studied by the gravimetric method based on analysis of the distribution of gravity anomalies in Bouguer’s reduction and identification of rocks bulk density and analogies to geophysical borehole. The test area of Cracow consists of three simple geological layers that intersect faults, creating graben. The stratigraphic model is composed of: Quaternary clays, sandy clays, sand, moreover, Miocene clays and Jurassic limestones. The rocks which build up these layers, have a common characteristic bulk density. Gravimetric interpretation confirms the relationship between the forces of gravity and crustal tectonics.
