Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Experimental investigation of dynamic impact of roadheader on floor(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Cheluszka, Piotr; Sobota, Piotr; Głuszek, GrzegorzThis article presents the selected results of experimental examinations performed on the test stand in the Technological Hall of the Faculty of Mining and Geology at the Silesian University of Technology in which an R-130 roadheader (by Famur S.A.) is installed. During the examinations, the courses of dynamic load were determined in the points of the roadheader's boom support during its operation. In order to determine the impact of the cutting process on the strengths transferred onto the floor, the distribution of the static load of the roadheader's supports caused by its own weight with its changing center of gravity caused by the boom deflecting were determined. During the examinations, the size and nature of the dynamic impact of the roadheader on the floor in its support points while cutting the surface of the block made of equivalent materials (cement and sand masses) of various uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) was determined experimentally. The nature of the roadheader's chassis vibrations caused by cutting as well as the changeability of the location of its anchorage point with the movement of the cutting heads on the surface being mined result in high load fitfully in the roadheader's support points. The dynamic impact of the roadheader on the floor also has a strongly dynamic character.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modular monitoring system for pilger mill drive(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2008) Świątoniowski, Andrzej; Gregorczyk, Ryszard; Rabiasz, StanisławDevelopment of new steel types with improved fatigue parameters coupled with intensification of milling processes: raised productivity and deformation levels in the subsequent roll passes have led to increased loads which cause dynamic processes in the mill. As a result, the number of failures has vastly increased and the quality of rolled products has deteriorated. Attempts are made to overcome this problem by close monitoring of the working condition of the milling machine as well as the process parameters. The paper outlines a conceptual design of a monitoring system for the pilger mill drive for producing seamless tubes, showing the first stage of the project implementation.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ obciążenia dynamicznego na charakterystykę pracy stosowanego w górniczej obudowie podatnej złącza ciernego z klinem oporowym(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Brodny, JarosławA new design solution of a joint has been developed using an additional element such as a thrust wedge to improve the working characteristic of the friction used in yielding supports. The article presents the results of stand tests for the new joint design subject to a dynamic load. The source of dynamic loading was impact mass falling from a specific height. A working characteristic of a friction joint was determined (relationship between the force transmitted by the joint according to time), the characteristics of variations in the value of axial forces in the clamp joints and the displacement of the selected friction joint components. The results obtained indicate that the use of a thrust wedge in the friction joint design improves its working parameters.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ obciążenia dynamicznego na parametry pracy złącza ciernego(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Brodny, JarosławThe article presents the results of stand tests for friction joints under a dynamic load. The tests consisted of exerting an axial load (compression) on the friction joint on which a traverse was placed with a mass freely falling from a specific height. The dynamic characteristics of a friction joint's work were identified based on the tests carried out. The characteristics determine a variance in the value of the force transmitted by a friction joint during a dynamic load according to time. Variances in the value of axial forces in the clamps joints were also registered during the tests. The displacements of a friction joint's elements were recorded with a highspeed camera which also enabled to determine their speeds and accelerations. The tests results presented should be used in operating, designing and selecting a yield support for the conditions of a dynamic load hazard.
