Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Channel cross-section influence on effective strain distribution in ECAP process(2017) Chyła, Paweł; Bednarek, Sylwia; Łukaszek-Sołek, AnetaThis study compares the numerically determined strain distributions after the application of the method of equal-channel angular pressing. The calculations were performed for four variants of the channel cross-sectional shapes – square, circular, and two rectangular ones with the same transverse surface area. The calculation results have been demonstrated as maps of effective strain distribution in the stabilized process.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Effect of deformation degree on properties of forgings after thermomechanical treatment(2006) Skubisz, Piotr; Sińczak, Jan; Bednarek, Sylwia; Łukaszek-Sołek, AnetaUtilization of thermo-mechanical treatment in forging medium-carbon alloyed steel including microaddition of titanium is presented. Results of forging tests carried out in industrial conditions with a use of a high-speed forging press in conventional cooling conditions are compared with those involving controlled forging and direct cooling after forging. Significant grain refinement accompanied by increase in tensile properties was observed. It was also concluded that deformation degree has an effect on the final mechanical properties.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Lubrication conditions influence on the filling process of die impresion in complex forging extrusion of A95456 alloy(2009) Sińczak, Jan; Chyła, Paweł; Bednarek, Sylwia; Łukaszek-Sołek, Aneta; Skubisz, PiotrIn the paper was analysed the rheology of metal flow in complex die forging process with closed-die with domination of direct and indirect extrusion beside different lubrication conditions on the die impression. It was found that apply of suitably diversified lubrication conditions brings favourable effect in form of decrease of the deformation energy and simultaneously favourable influence on the uniform deformation in whole volume of the forging.
