In early 2007 it was not predicted that prices of petroleum would achieve such a record level. An important problem on the market is the uneven distribution and high concentration of resources of petroleum in weakly developed countries. Highly industrialized countries always own limited stocks in relation to their proposed needs. At present, the divergence that exists between the desirable and actual condition in the supply of crude oil is an important factor determining the market. The realization of the threat of the occurrence of any disturbances has given way to speculations, whose effect is the observed uncontrolled and not always justified growth of prices. In this article an attempt has been taken to define the influence of the world environment on the level of crude oil prices in 2007. The essence of the work presented is expressed in the identification of chief sector and extrasector factors. The actions taken will make it possible to make a diagnosis of the conditions as well as rules functioning in oil markets. This article includes detailed information about the management of the petroleum economy. It presents the most significant social and economic events which can exert influence on the level and dynamics of crude oil prices. It also pinpoints the occurring environmental, economical and technological limitations in the oil sector. The article ends with a prediction of oil prices in years 2008-2009. The proposals of future courses of action within the management of the petroleum economy have also been included.

Ekologiczne i ekonomiczne uwarunkowania wykorzystania zasobów przy produkcji kruszyw łamanych

There are in production process of broken aggregates the contrary ecological and economic purposes. From ecological point of view it should be tried to do the maximization in using up resources. So far the production of aggregates needs to use several stages of feed crushing. As the effect there is created more and more small fractions treated as waste. From economic point of view the best situation would be to sell the highest price (the most expensive) fraction: chippings, voussoir, breakstone. The mediate solution can be to offer the lowest granulation fractions. This paper describes the optimum way of choice in this matter, concerning the kind of mineral necessary for recast process, demand of aggregates, prices of particular fraction of aggregates.

This paper presents Basic issues for billing system dedicated to support services in telecommunication networks. Main economic conditions and functionalities of the system are described. Fundamental terms and definitions are explained. Impact of billing system on service users' behavior is characterized. In concluding section main criteria for assessment of billing schemes are given.

Prognoza ekonomiki podziemnego magazynowania gazu w Polsce

Issues related with economics of underground gas storages in Poland are presented in view of the situation in Europe. The basic analyzed topic is prices of commercial gas storing. This type of activity is not presently carried out in Poland, though it might be if the available storing space was increased, and competition of Polish Oil and Gas Company came on market. Selected prices in some Europe's countries are presented, whereas the variants of forecast commercial prices are given in view of the economic and technical assumptions. The results of calculations reveal that the prices of UGS in Poland could be competitive in relation to the West European prices.
