Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe aim of thesis was demonstrate the economic and environmental aspects of energetic basket willow’s cultivation. The first part of work describes the biomass as a renewable energy source. Another part describes energetic willow. There is an analysis of production woodchips stages. The last part of the theoretical introduction is description of the sewage sludge, which were used during the field test to fertilize selected willow clones. The last part of the thesis is the description and analysis of field research carried out, involving the measurement of weight gain willow located on an experimental plantation of the Forest Inspectorate Brodła in the Malopolska voivodeship. On the basis of selected clone with the greatest weight gain, which was a clone of 1056, and used it to set up a hypothetical one-acre willow’s plantation. For plantations of the calculated effect of ecological, economic analysis was conducted and determined its social function.
