    Porównawcza analiza zapotrzebowania na ciepło domów studenckich „Babilon” i „Kapitol” na Miasteczku Studenckim Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej w Krakowie

    The dissertation entitled „The comparative analysis of a heat demand for student dorms „Babilon” and „Kapitol” situated on the campus of AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow” was established to investigate the effectiveness of thermomodernization treatments for multi-storey prefabricated buildings from 1971-1988. Both measured energy values and calculated energy values using the Audytor OZC 6.6 Pro software were analyzed. This issue was addressed because of the poorly investigated thermomodernization potential of these buildings or the lack of proven systemic corrective action. These buildings are popular in Polish settlements. They are characterized by high annual energy consumption, which generates significant amounts of pollution. In addition, the European Union is planning to complete a subsidy for the revitalization of housing estates in Poland by the end of 2020. The synthesis of the work shows the differences in the energy performances of both student dorms thanks to applying additional layers of thermal insulation, replacement of window frames and doors or replacement of hot water installation and central heating installation in one of them.
