    The aim of this study was to conduct various types of modernization in the selected school site. The issues related to the requirements of thermal protection of buildings were discussed. Calculations of the seasonal demand for heat in the building were conducted using the Purmo OZC 4.0 Program. On the basis of the results obtained, i.a. an economic and environmental analysis were made.
