    A field development project is a document created after the exploration of hydrocarbon reservoir carried out as part of an exploratory license. Then the document is attached to the license application when an operator is applying for a production license on a recognized reservoir. The recipient of an application is the Ministry of Environment, which licensed the issue. The aim of this paper was to present the formal requirements for a field development project on the base of Polish Geological and Mining Law and its executive order. As an example of reservoir documentation was discussed the Terliczka reservoir located in the Carpathian Foredeep. The point of this paper was also to present geological structure of the Carpathian Foredeep.
