Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Badania nad możliwością wykorzystania odpadów do produkcji cegieł(2007) Balaweider, Małgorzata; Marciniak-Kowalska, JolantaIn mineral mining, in the technological processes of production, the wastes are being created, which are, in many ways, harmful for natural environment dependably on their chemical composition. The purpose of the conducted researches was determination of the possibilities of partial replacement of the ashes produced by thermal-electric power station »Kraków« SA by flotation wastes from limestone copper ores flotation and of production of required quality bricks. The paper presents the researches over bricks, done according to the present norms, which purpose was to determine the applied material accuracy. There is the perspective possibility of flotation wastes, containing a lot of silicon dioxide, application to bricks production.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Badanie form związania metali w odpadach poflotacyjnych z ZGH „Bolesław” w Bukownie metodami ekstrakcji sekwencyjnej(Data obrony: 2012-07-17) Pisarczyk, Anna
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe aim of this thesis is to investigate the metal binding forms by sequential extraction methods. Flotation waste samples from the processing of Zn-Pb ores in ZGH „Boleslaw” in Bukowno were used for analyses. These wastes, containing metals such as: zinc, cadmium, lead, have a toxic environmental impact. Sequential extraction procedure of metals makes it possible to assess the environmental risk caused by flotation wastes. This opportunity exists, through the identification of binding forms of heavy metals and their potential mobility. This procedure is mainly based on decreasing activity of metals, using more and more active extractable factors.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Charakterystyka i wpływ na środowisko materii organicznej znajdującej się w odpadach flotacyjnych rud miedzi dużego zbiornika składowiska Żelazny Most(Data obrony: 2011-11-15) Ziołowicz, Kinga
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaFor the determination of the geochemical characteristics of the organic matter present in the copper ores flotation wastes deposited in the large reservoir of the “Iron Bridge” landfill and estimation of their influence on environment 30 waste samples were collected. Based on results of Rock-Eval analysis geochemical characteristic of organic matter (quantity, type of kerogen and its maturity) was conducted. The quantity of organic carbon in the analysed wastes is low and amounts ca. 0.2 wt% for the area of deposition wastes from Lubin and Rudna mines and ca. 0.5 wt% for the area of deposition wastes from Sieroszowice-Polkowice mine, respectively. Geochemical indices of organic matter evidence its low hydrocarbon potential and strong oxidation. Taking into consideration that part of the organic matter in the landfill is protected against influence of atmospheric oxygen by water, CO2 emission from the unit of the area of landfill is probably much lower than from the same area of agriculturally used soil.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Pb, Tl i As w wodach, osadach i glebach w otoczeniu składowisk odpadów poflotacyjnych w rejonie Bukowna - ocena ryzyka ekologicznego(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Gruszecka-Kosowska, Agnieszka; Helios-Rybicka, EdeltraudaThis work presents the method of Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA) for the river and soil contaminations in the Bukowno area. Priority hazardous substances Pb, As and Tl were assessed. ERA was calculated using concentration of Pb, Tl and As in the river water, sediments and soils. The Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA) was determined for carcinogenic As (10$^{-4}$) and non-carcinogenic Tl (0.39).
