    Modelowanie hydrogeochemiczne form występowania i stanu równowagi wybranych składników wód podziemnych i powierzchniowych w rejonie zbiornika Świnna Poręba

    The dissertation presents the results of the hydrogeochemical modelling which was conducted by means of the computer program PHREEQC. Owing to the program calculations the speciation of the chosen elements of the ground and surface waters was obtained. That allowed to determine which of them define the hydrogeochemical equilibrium of the waters circulating in the area of Świnna Poręba Reservoir. The saturation point of the waters was estimated by the saturation indices SI. It was found that the minerals determinant of the hydrogeochemical equilibrium of the groundwaters in the area of the future Świnna Poręba Reservoir are quartz, calcite, the amorphous form of the iron hydroxide and rhodochrosite. The samples of the ground and surface waters were taken in the direct drainage-basin as well as from the bowl/bottom of the future Świnna Poręba Reservoir. The physico-chemical analysis of the water samples, which was the basis for the calculations, was performed in the Hydrogeochemical Laboratory at the Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology of the University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
