Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Development of a new semi-active friction damper using piezoelectric technology for the anti-seismic control of civil structures(2012) Di Leo, Romeo; Lecce, Leonardo; Pecora, Rosario; Amoroso, FrancescoThis work presents a new semi-active friction damper, based on the piezoelectric technology, for the anti-seismic control of a civil structure. The device has been conceived and designed at D.I.A.S. (Department of Aerospace Engineering) of University Federico II of Naples. It belongs to the family of the semi-active technologies of structural control for a civil structure. Damper is based on an external cylinder and an internal hollow piston that slips inside the cylinder. Device presents an original conceptual lay-out, developed at D.I.A.S and it is independent by any scheme, available in literature.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modelling of stress state of elastic medium containing perfectly and imperfectly bonded thin inclusions and overlays(2011) Sulim, Georgij T; Pasternak, Âroslav MihajlovičThis study considers modelling of two-dimensional stress state of solids containing thin elastic inclusions. In modeling the coupling principle for continua of different dimension is utilized. Basing on the model of inclusion under the perfect contact three other models of imperfect contact are developed. The simplest one is a model of thin inclusion, which is completely delaminated at certain segments. Two other models take into account a smooth contact between inclusion and a solid, and also a contact with friction. The developed models are easy to introduce into the used boundary element approach. The model of inclusion, completely debonded at one face, is also used in modeling of solids with thin elastic overlays or stringers.Item type:Book Chapter, Access status: Open Access , Numerical analysis of cold extrusion of tubes using CAx system(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2023) Skorulski, Grzegorz; Łukaszewicz, AndrzejThis paper presents a numerical analysis of the cold extrusion of pipes with the use of DEFORM 3D software. As a result, a CAE system was obtained with the help of CAD, and diagrams of the effective stress distribution are presented. Additionally, some aspects of the quality of the final product were discussed.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Strain distribution in ECAP process with various friction conditions - numerical modelling(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Chyła , Paweł; Bednarek, Sylwia; Łukaszek-Sołek, Aneta; Sińczak, JanIn this paper are introduced analytical calculations of strain distribution in ECAP process in plane strain state. Analysed was friction influence on distribution and value of effective strain in channel die band. Numerical calculations were done by using of QForm 3D commercial programme.
