    The subject of this thesis is: The conceptual design of the combination of solar system and a wind turbine to produce hot water for a single-family house. This paper presents types of renewable energy sources and ways, in which they can be used. The first part of the paper analyzes possibilities of receiving energy from the wind and sun. The last part of this paper is a project which implements the most widespread systems of renewable energy sources to produce hot water for a single-family house. The first stage is the selection of solar installation and small wind turbine. The next stage is a combination of both systems. The information included in this paper show the estimated profitability and environmental benefits of a hybrid system installation.
