The piles were classified in the paper in view of assumed criteria and most frequent applications. These works can be performed with specialist pile equipment. In the description attention was paid to the most important technical parameters of pile machines produced by such companies as Bauer, Casagrande and Soilmec. The multi-criteria method with a synthetic measure of evaluation was used for selecting the most suitable pile machine. Among the assumed criteria were the pull up/down force, torque, maximum depth and diameter of the pile and the main winch. The analysis of the obtained weights and criteria revealed that the Bauer pile machine BG 50 had the highest CCS pull up/down and torque and was most appropriate for making long and large-diameter piles.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Dziewięćdziesiąt lat edukacji w AGH - dziewięćdziesiąt lat pracy Wydziału Górnictwa i Geoinżynierii(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Czaja, PiotrEverybody who smelled the fragrance of these corridors, the atmosphere of lecture halls, emotion of credits, and stress of exams as well as emotion of receipt of this respectable university degree - become the member of the big family of its Graduates. A small soil-coating bridge is presented as an example of this problem. Such factors as correct compression or natural consolidation of the soils form the load-carrying ability zone above the mined space. So, as result of this research, the real rock-mass arches are described as the save protections of the underground excavations. Some formulas to calculate the dimensions and a load capacity of these arches are given too.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Kierunki rozwoju metod geoinżynieryjnych(2005) Stryczek, Stanisław; Gonet, Andrzej; Wiśniowski, RafałSince the beginning of the 20th century the economic development has been related with the constantly increasing need for information and power sources, stimulating at the same time higher demands in the communal sector. These needs determine the necessity to develop and modernize geoengineering methods as well. Technical advancement enabled elaboration of new technologies, being an alternative for the traditional methods used so far. Deficiency of areas that would be geomechanically suitable for the construction of new building and engineering objects and the high costs of deep foundations spurred the idea of searching new, cheaper and more efficient methods of reinforcing and sealing ground and rock mass. The directions and scope of applied geoengineering methods are presented in view of various engineering activities to be undertaken.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Kształcenie kadr dla potrzeb budownictwa podziemnego w Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej w Krakowie(2007) Tajduś, Antoni; Wichur, AndrzejThe AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków is one of the largest and most important technical universities in the country; it is always classified high in rankings. Geoengineering started to develop in new, unknown domains, i.e.: civil engineering, environmental engineering, mining construction, trenchless construction, hydrotechnical construction, surface earthworks. One may risk a conclusion that geoengineering is going to grow in power in the coming decades. Therefore, it is vital to develop researches in this respect and also educate future geoengineers who could undertake this challenge. It should be born in mind that unprofessional staff, erroneous projects and badly done surface and underground works may result in grand catastrophes of unpredictable scale.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ odpadów z fluidalnego spalania paliw na parametry technologiczne zaczynów uszczelniających sporządzonych na osnowie cementu portlandzkiego(2008) Stryczek, Stanisław; Gonet, Andrzej; Wiśniowski, Rafał; Dvořák, JacekThe recipes of sealing slurries for were optimized on the basis of experimental results in view of such drilling applications as cementing of casing pipes, closing of wells, performing cement plugs, as well as for geoengineering works related with sealing and reinforcing ground and rock mass. One of the most important parameters of fresh slurry are its rheological propeties (parameters and rheological model). With well selected rheological parameters it is possible to calculate flow resistivities in the circulation system, which in turn, results in: selection of technological parameters of injection (time and pressure of injection), range of penetration of the slurry in the injected medium. The results of analyses of influence of selected Polish plastifiers on rheological properties of sealing slurries are presented in the paper.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ pyłów cementowych z cementowni Chełm na właściwości technologiczne zaczynów uszczelniających(2009) Stryczek, Stanisław; Gonet, Andrzej; Wiśniowski, Rafał; Biskup, TomaszThe environmental protection issues grow in significance, therefore looking for potential additives of sealing slurries among waste products generated by various branches of industry, e.g. cement industry is fully justifiable. It was generally accepted that the contemporary process of cement production is waste-free as by-products of cement production are utilized at various stages. However, not all by-products are fully technologically utilized. Therefore it seem justifiable to analyze whether or not the cement dust by-product can be used as an additive of sealing slurries for modifying their technological properties so that they can be applied for sealing and reinforcing ground and rock mass purposes. The results of laboratory analyses of influence of various concentrations of cement dust generated by cement plant in Chełm on technological parameters of fresh and set sealing slurries of different parameters of water mixtures based on metallurgical cement CEM III/A 32,5. In the course of the analyses there were established optimum concentrations of cement ash additives in slurries, applicable to such geoengineering works as sealing and reinforcing ground and rock mass, with special emphasis on hole injection methods.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ temperatury na właściwości technologiczne zaczynów uszczelniających stosowanych do prac geoinżynieryjnych(2007) Stryczek, Stanisław; Gonet, Andrzej; Wiśniowski, RafałSealing slurry should meet a number of requirements resulting from the specific conditions encountered in the injection wells during rock mass sealing and reinforcing operations. Sealing slurries used in the geoengineering works should provide proper course of injection procedures and be resistant to the reservoir conditions. Owing to the atmospheric conditions in which injection is performed (high amplitude of temperature), this factor should be accounted for when working out recipes. The results of investigations of the influence of temperature (5, 10, 20 degrees of Celsius) on the technological properties of sealing slurry based on the metallurgical cement CEM III/B - 32.5 and CEM III/C - 32.5 are presented in the paper.
