Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Analiza metod utylizacji dwutlenku węgla(Data obrony: 2012-07-13) Partyka, Tomasz
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe primary purpose of utilization is the elimination of harmful atmospheric emissions generated during combustion or industrial processes. This effect can be achieved by changing the traditional technologies, which emit significant quantities of harmful substances, including carbon dioxide, the newer method of utilization. The purpose of this study is to analyze methods of disposal of carbon dioxide. Characterized several methods of utilization, of which focused mainly on geological sequestration. This was a consequence of the oil industry experience gained during many years of fossil fuel extraction and economic considerations.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Cost analysis of geological sequestration of CO₂(2016) Kosowski, Piotr; Kuk, MichałThis article presents an analysis of the costs of geological sequestration of carbon dioxide. Special emphasis is put on the most important factors affecting the cost of this process. These are among others: the amount 8 of $CO_{2}$ emission, the kind of the emitter, the composition of exhaust gases, technology of separation, a distance between the source of emissions and the place of injection, the mode of transport and the cost of injection. For each of these factors and their combination a range of potential costs was presented. They were also ranked according to their impact on the economic efficiency of the entire process of geological sequestration of carbon dioxide.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Underground $CO_{2}$ storage - case study of Jastrząbka Stara structure, SE Poland(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2012) Nosal, Justyna; Semyrka, RomanCarbon dioxide injection into depleted oil fields is widely used. The injection enhances oil recovery and generates other advantages like: (1) decrease of carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere and (2) the possibility for $CO_{2}$ emission trade. Geological and reservoir parameters of Jastrząbka Stara structure are discussed in this paper in the context of possible $CO_{2}$ sequestration. Reservoir absorptivity and tightness, overburden thickness, storage capacity as well as social and economical aspects are taken into consideration. Based upon these factors, Jastrząbka Stara oil deposits may be classified as potential carbon dioxide storage site.Detailed data cannot be published due to Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG SA) confidentiality requirements.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Zastosowanie i wykorzystanie struktur złożowych do zatłaczania $CO_{2}$ na przykładzie struktury Jastrząbki Stara(Data obrony: 2011-07-14) Nosal, Justyna
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe main purpose of the presented thesis is to discuss the geological paramaters of subsurface structures as a potential for CO2 storage. These criteria are related to Jastrząbka Stara oil deposit. Properties necessary for CO2 storage for its usage in enhanced oil recovery were included. In addition, were made the analysis of capabilities of increasing size of oil production as a result of carbon dioxide injection to subsurface.
