This thesis presents geological-engineering characteristics of the landslide in Sułów. I have discussed its localization and I have written about reasons of its origin. Pursuant to available literature I have talked over geological structure and hydrogeological conditions of researched region. Geological-engineering charting and diploma practice have enabled to achieve detailed description of geological-engineering conditions that arose within the region of the landslide. In this thesis I have presented graphic part in the form of maps, drawings, diagrams and photographs. I have made an attempt to propose various ways of the protection of the landslide.

Geologiczno-inżynierska charakterystyka lessów okolic Sandomierza

Celem pracy było zbadanie warunków geologiczno – inżynierskich utworów lessowych występujących w okolicach miasta Sandomierz. By to osiągnąć w pięciu miejscach znajdujących się w tamtym terenie pobrane zostały próbki gruntów które następnie poddano badaniom laboratoryjnym. Uzyskane w ten sposób parametry fizyko – mechaniczne charakteryzujące badane grunty skonfrontowane zostały z dostępnymi archiwalnie wynikami badan przeprowadzonych innych utworach lessowych. Otrzymane wyniki wskazują, że badane utwory nie różnią się w sposób istotny od porównywanych pobliskich lessów. Przejawiają cechy typowe dla najpowszechniej występujących w Polsce lessów wysoczyznowych. Mogą w nich również zachodzić zjawiska osiadania zapadowego co czyni, iż można je zaklasyfikować jako podłoże o niekorzystnych warunkach geologiczno – inżynierskich.

Lessy okolic Hebdowa w świetle badań geologiczno-inżynierskich

The aim of study was determination of geological-engineering conditions of loess of Hebdow region. Research includes geotechnical analyses of material which was gathered from Hebdow, which is within the administrative Cracow. Additional information was taken from archival documents and literature. The paper presents the results of the basic physical and mechanical properties of studies grounds. Summarized the results show that tested loess are sensitive soil to changes in moisture. They have partially unstable structure and they are susceptible to processes suffusion. The parameters show, that the discussed loess form a substrate with negative geological-engineering conditions.

Lessy okolic Sandomierza w świetle badań geologiczno-inżynierskich

The aim of this study was to determine geological-engineering conditions of loess from Sandomierz region. Research includes geotechnical analyses of material which was gathered from Queen Jadwiga ravine, which is within the administrative Sandomierz. Additional information was obtained from archival documents and literature. The paper presents the results of the basic physical and mechanical properties of studied grounds. Summarized results show that tested loess are soil sensitive to changes in moisture. They have partially unstable structure and are susceptible to scouring processes. These parameters show, that the discussed loess form a substrate with negative geological-engineering conditions.

Ocena warunków geologiczno-inżynierskich dla budowy suchego zbiornika „Trąbki”

Evaluation of geological-engineering conditions is necessary to proper assessment of the conditions of the ground. In process of evaluating ground conditions is performed a set of field work and laboratory tests. This paper is aimed at analyzing geological and engineering conditions in the surrounding of drywall „Trąbki” on Potok Królewski. The project uses analysis of archival materials, geodetic and geophysical survey, drilling, and a number of analyzes samples of soil and water. Last part of researches include analyzes of hydrological and hydrographic conditions. As a result were obtained selected geotechnical properties (e. g. natural humidity, angle of internal friction, the degree of plasticity) of the occuring types of soil. It was found big differences in values obtained geotechnical parameters for individual layers. Analysis of the results of conducted geological and engineering studies showed high variability of soil bearing capacity occurring in the area of the designed drywall „Trąbki” and the possibility of occurrence of abrasion phenomenon during long-term flooding of the drywall's bowl.
