Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A concept of research into the temperature of a rock mass on the campus of VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava(2008) Bujok, Petr; Mikundová, PavlaGeothermal heat pumps are appropriate for retrofit or new homes, where both heating and cooling are desired. In addition to heating and cooling, geothermal heat pumps can provide domestic hot water. They can be used for virtually any home size regions in any region of the Czech Republic. The use of heat from the upper layers of the earth's crust can be a useful and efficient method of saving energy. At around 50 m below the earth's surface the ambient temperature fluctuates between around 8-12 degrees of Celsius. This heat can be used by being transferred to the surface via a loop system using a high-efficiency refrigerant type material. These systems are also typically more efficient than gas or oil-fired heating systems. They are more energy efficient than air source heat pumps because they draw heat from, or release heat to, the earth, which has constant year's temperatures round, rather than to the air. Geothermal heat pumps use relatively constant temperature of the ground or water several meters below the earth's surface as source of heating and cooling.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analysis of the potential heating of selected student residences at The AGH University Of Krakow using the earth’s heat(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2023) Sapińska-Śliwa, Aneta; Kunasz, Remigiusz; Śliwa, TomaszThe aim of this study was to adapt the operating parameters of a geothermal heat pump system to the required average power needed to meet the energy for central heating and domestic hot water of selected student residences. Calculations of the average power required by the dormitories in the AGH University Student Campus were carried out, as well as modelling of the deep borehole heat exchanger for the heating load. The designed heating system for the student residences in the AGH University Student Campus using a deep borehole heat exchanger – is sufficient to cover the base heat demand for five four-storey dormitories. During the writing of the paper, the main problem was the low availability of articles on deep borehole heat exchangers. This is due to the continuous development and testing of new engineering ideas. Deep borehole heat exchangers can be use as new boreholes or wells prepared for liquidation. Also use of closed boreholes sometimes is possible, depending on project of liquidation. The future districy heating will use low-temperature heat carrier for heating and cooling. Use borehole fields as rockmass use for heat and/or cool ,storage will be common.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Geotermia i pompy ciepła(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2025) Chmielowska, Anna; Harcouet-Menou, Virginie; Kaczmarczyk, Michał; Kowalski, Tomasz; Luboń, Wojciech; Pełka, Grzegorz; Sapińska-Śliwa, Aneta; Silva, Mario; Sowiżdżał, Anna; Szczotka, Krzysztof; Śliwa, Tomasz; Tomaszewska, Barbara; Vestavik, Ola; Wangen, Magnus; Wojnarowski, PawełThe article presents contemporary trends and challenges in the area of heat and cooling supply in the context of the develop-ment of "intelligent" heating and heating-cooling networks (smart grids) and the development of distributed heating (energy). Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Możliwości wykorzystania wód geotermalnych w rejonie Rzeszowa(Data obrony: 2012-03-16) Lech-Surowiec, Paulina
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis thesis takes more and more frequently discussed question of the use of geothermal energy. It is based on data from the region of Rzeszow and for this area is carried out preliminary analysis of the conditions of occurrence and potentiality of use thermal waters. On the basis of hole cards for drilling oil and gas exploration, have been extracted information that can in general tell us the nature and parameters of the occurrence of groundwater aquifers. Also presented was an attempt to classify in terms of temperature and water chemistry for a particular purpose utility.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Technical aspects of geothermal energy utilization in Małopolska Region(2009) Barbacki, AntoniThe paper discusses the technical aspects of geothermal energy utilization in Małopolska and provides a brief description of the technological solutions available to exploit the thermal aquifers typical of this region, for heating and recreation. It includes some technological solutions for the recovery and management of heat in this area, together with examples of how heat pumps and combined heat and power units are used in Poland.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The concept of a deep borehole heat exchanger at the AGH University Student Campus(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2025) Kunasz, Remigiusz; Śliwa, Tomasz; Sapińska-Śliwa, AnetaThe paper provides an introduction to deep borehole heat exchangers, their use and completed projects worldwide. The aim of the study is to design a deep borehole heat exchanger at the AGH University Campus, more specifically its design, casing and internal heat exchanger pipe concept with a view to minimizing temperature losses. It goes on to describe the location of the project, including the geology of the area and the solution to the design problem, i.e. the casing of the borehole and the design concepts for the deep borehole heat exchanger. In the following section, the design of a deep borehole heat exchanger is presented. During the research, the main problem was the limited availability of articles on deep borehole heat exchangers. This is due to the continuous development and testing of new engineering ideas and the high implementation costs compared to the energy effects obtained. The publication only deals with technical issues, financial issues were not considered, among other things due to the current global geopolitical situation in 2023.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Wody termalne i lecznicze Ustronia i okolic i ich wykorzystanie w balneologii oraz w turystyce i rekreacji(Data obrony: 2014-07-14) Kopeć, Beata
