The most popular constructions of BHE are described with possibility of heat extraction. There are also showed results of calculation of effective heat transfer coefficient of the Laboratory of Geoenergetics of Drilling, Oil and Gas Faculty of AGH University of Science and Technology BHEs with its heat resistivity. While analysing a facility for public use, dedicated for 150 people and possessing a large share of transparent external walls it was shown, that using an hourly temperature in calculations, the obtained total energy demand (i.e. for heating and air conditioning) is 22% higher than the result obtained while taking into account an average monthly temperature. Scharakteryzowano magazyny wykorzystujące otworowe wymienniki ciepła (BTES - Borehole Thermal Energy Storage) lub warstwy zawodnione (ATES - Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage). Wskazano liczne źródła zbędnej energii odpadowej w zakładach przemysłowych. Pokrótce opisano doświadczenia krajów pionierskich w dziedzinie technologii UTES (Underground Thermal Energy Storage). Autorzy udowodnili konieczność magazynowania energii, wskazali korzyści i bezpieczeństwo układów UTES oraz przedstawili jak wydział Wiertnictwa, Nafty i Gazu AGH włączył się w proces lepszego poznania i opisania zjawisk towarzyszących procesowi magazynowania energii w górotworze i jego efektywności.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , New borehole heat exchangers in the Geoenergetics Laboratory at the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas, AGH UST in Krakow(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Śliwa, Tomasz; Gonet, Andrzej; Sojczyńska, Anna; Złotkowski, Albert; Kowalski, Tomasz Wojciech; Sapińska-Śliwa, AnetaThe Geoenergetics Laboratory at the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas in Krakow is presented in this paper to mark its 10th anniversary. The origins of the Laboratory, its equipment and the design of borehole heat exchangers belonging to the field research station are also discussed. Recently, the construction of 14 new borehole heat exchangers was designed and the boreholes will be drilled in the area of AGH University. They will perform heating and cooling for the new S1 building of the University. Every borehole heat exchanger will be tested, with the effective thermal conductivity and borehole thermal resistivity calculated after a thermal response test on every borehole. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe thesis provides two concepts of providing geothermal heat to all kinds of building in the Holmavik town (Westfjords, Iceland), that is devoid of sufficient typical geothermal resources. Environmental and anthropogenic backgrounds, local conditions and steps of design were presented together with comparison of proposed systems.
