Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , An investigation of Devonian salt-domes at the major tectonic regions of the Dniper-Donets basin(Data obrony: 2016-09-28) Gizun, Mariia
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe aim of the Master Thesis of Economic Geology is to get the most important skill for the future employer in the exploration geology business. The major job responsibilities of the Economic Geologist are: data handling, classification and analyses of the raw and archive data, pre-interpretation with indication of the future target or scientific potential of the data. Due to the mentioned career values I built my Master Thesis work. I believe that Dniper Donets basin has a great exploration potential for hydrocarbon not only among the State Ukrainian companies but as well for foreign investors, that is why the local professionals should be ready to show and to explain the World oil and gas exploration companies the resource potential of the Dniper Donets basin, based on not only the local framework geo-data but as well the public materials presented in the scientifically articles or public geological reviews. The study give a detail analyses of the archive seismic data and based on my study and working experience. The main purposes of the work are obtaining the seismic interpretation skills in complex with analyses of the framework data. One of the principle geological features of the Dniper Donets basin is salt tectonic architecture. Due to this fact in my work I will identified the major regional references horizons with faults and identified the major forms of salt structures at the tree principle tectonic parts of the Dniper Donets basin: the Axial zone, Southern and Northern Flank zones. For this reason, I used in my report available data set which is provides the processed seismic data for the following types of salt structures: sheet salt, pillow salt, columnar salt dome, salt dome with cap-rock formation on the top, and canopy salt structures. Interpreting seismic data requires an understanding of the subsurface formations, general structural and stratigraphic features of the study area and how they may affect wave reception. The major peace of the work connected with seismic stratigraphy thus one of the principle part of work is indication of a strata surfaces and their correlation with tectonic sequences of the DDB. The regional tectono-stratigraphy building of the DDB presented on the scientific publications of Stovba and Stephenson. From my point of view the publications gives satisfy structural and sequence basics of the DDB for the foreign reader. Seismic interpretation was carried out on GeoGraphix Discovery 2009 time volume of 2D and 3D seismic data. The interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic profiles takes in account VSP data, Log-Well summary reports and consulting with local geophysicist and geologists due to the major principles of seismic interpretation procedure and project leading.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Grawimetryczne badania form tektonicznych(Data obrony: 2012-10-17) Zagórska, Angelika
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaTectonic forms involving a tectonic crustal deformation resulting in rupture of rock layers are faults and graben. Reduction in this type of geology can be studied by the gravimetric method based on analysis of the distribution of gravity anomalies in Bouguer’s reduction and identification of rocks bulk density and analogies to geophysical borehole. The test area of Cracow consists of three simple geological layers that intersect faults, creating graben. The stratigraphic model is composed of: Quaternary clays, sandy clays, sand, moreover, Miocene clays and Jurassic limestones. The rocks which build up these layers, have a common characteristic bulk density. Gravimetric interpretation confirms the relationship between the forces of gravity and crustal tectonics.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zagrożenia osuwiskowe w Zakładzie Górniczym KWB Bełchatów w trakcie prowadzenia eksploatacji w najgłębszej części złoża, w rowie II rzędu(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Sędor, Aleksandra; Czarnecki, LeopoldIn this article described landslide hazards occur while mine technology for extraction in II order graben, the deepest part of the brown coal deposit Bełchatów. Discussed major tectonic structure have influence to safe mine extraction. The article contains precise characteristic fault line called »North border fault line« (UNB no. 2) documented while mine extractions. Drop has been recorded in the Mesozoic substratum and amount 60 to 200 meters. The style of zone is varied from expansive flexure to series fault lines varied angle and dip direction. Interest aspect of this zone is appearing more often imply surfaces in the north side of fault line. The second important aspect described in this article is block of Mesozoic rock which is building south border Kleszczow graben. The zone called paleolandslide block (BP) is locating in the south border fault line Kleszczow graben called USB no. 1. Paleolandslide block is 1700 meters long and it is probably blocks group move to the north board fault line USB no. 1 about 140 meters bring about old landslide. Estimate volume BP is 118 mln $m^{3}$ with documented depth 260 meters. In the board BP charted 11 lower block group deposit in the Tertiary sediments. Described results previous field work driving to better knowledge deformations inside BP. It was taken note of practical aspect recognition structure cause steady inside block as necessary element to right planning and safe mining extraction.
