Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Optyczno-elektroniczny sposób określania składu granulometrycznego gruntów i możliwości zastosowania w geologii inżynierskiej(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2008) Kamiński, Stanisław; Trzciński, JerzyNowadays there are available technical possibilities to avoid manually difficult and work-consuming measurements of soil grain composition (e.g. sieve or sedimentation analysis). Such measurements can be replaced by optical-electronic instruments called Elsieve that are more common in Poland. The instruments are used for determination of grain-size distribution of gains and particles with diameter form 0.5 μm to 100 mm. Additionally there is possibility to determine shape of grains by 3D measurements and other graining parameters. The measuring system can consist of any number of instruments, connected with recording computer. Every computer of any measuring instruments is connected with the server. The created network allows to save measuring results at computer that works with particular instrument and at other computers. Such a system is used for measurements of soil and other geomaterials grain composition in laboratory at Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology, Faculty of Geology, University of Warsaw.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Oznaczanie składu ziarnowego proszków - porównanie wyników otrzymanych różnymi metodami pomiarowymi(2006) Kordek, Jacek; Niedoba, TomaszThe measurements, which purpose was to compare the grain composition results of mineral powders given by various measurement methods, were carried out. The parts of experiment were: preparation of various grain compositions on basis of basic rocks and minerals being used in mineral processing, realization of precise grain composition analyses by using laser diffract meter and Infrared Particle Sizer, as well large results analysis as the attempt of determination of their reciprocal calculation. The results discussion allow to formulate the generalization of diversified acuteness dependent on sort of analyzed material and measurement range. The compositions were determined by two laser methods and specific surface by Blaine's flowing method of and adsorptive method BET. The juxtaposition of results given in such way allow to formulate an opinion about the term »specific surface« because of totally different approach to results and their significantly different values. The conducting of parallel measurements confirms that physical and chemical, as well calculating determinations spare to various purposes may be comparable when the right proposed rules are applied.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Przegląd metod oceny właściwości geometrycznych odpadowych surowców mineralnych(2007) Szymańska-Czaja, MariaGeometrical properties of grained solid materials describe such parameters as grain size, size distribution curve, grain shape, specific surface, porosity etc. For specifying them in laboratory practice a several different method currently are used. Each method based on different physical phenomena of the material. This cause a diversity of the results, what is inconvenient in introducing to the technological processes applying fine-grained row materials. The paper presents ability assessment of geometrical properties of fine-grain materials investigated in recent years, based on several research results and practical observations unambiguous and multi-conditioned relations between separate geometrical properties.
