Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Ocena efektywności transformacji Radona w systemie Vista(Data obrony: 2013-10-10) Lenckowski, Robert
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe main goal of seismic data processing is to reach the highest signal/noise ratio possible. Various types of noise tend to contaminate the registered wave field of which linear coherent events are the most persistent. Ground roll is a high-amplitude, low-frequency linear wavetrain travelling near the surface of the earth, capable of obscuring genuine reflections. A range of procedures is routinely applied to attenuate it of which the main emphasis was put on the Radon transform. A set of tests in the Vista processing software has been carried out in order to assess the effectiveness of three types of the transform (linear, parabolic and hyperbolic). The results were compared with those of some traditional approaches to ground roll removal. Hyperbolic Radon transform turned out to be the most effective.
