Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analiza porównawcza pośrednich metod oceny współczynnika filtracji gruntów(2006) Twardowski, Kazimierz; Drożdżak, Ryszard; Glazor, AndrzejPractical applicability of empirical formulae for predicting coefficients of ground filtration has been assessed in the paper. The analysis was made for three various groups of formulae, accounting for: 1) exclusively granulometric data, 2) granulometric data and ground porosity, 3) granulometric data, ground porosity and physical properties of the filtrating water. The quality of predictions was based on measuring data for three typical real grounds representing coarse sands, medium sands and clayey sands. As a result of the analysis, the empirical formulae enabling reliable predicting of the filtration coefficient for various types of ground, were determined.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analiza wpływu wybranych parametrów na wyniki symulacji procesu filtracji substancji ropopochodnej w ośrodku gruntowym(2007) Fąfara, ZbigniewThe modelling of processes accompanying oil products contaminating the ground-water environment lead to construing a mathematical model of migration. Its parameters are constants or variables describing the properties of the porous medium, oil product contaminating ground and water, as well as parameters characterizing thermodynamic conditions in which the contamination took place. By using numerical methods for solving the system of mathematical equations, additional parameters are introduced, e.g. time step, and spatial step of realization of calculations. The aim of the paper is analysis of influence of discretization of spatial variable on the final results of simulation.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Dobór parametrów usuwania zanieczyszczeń z gruntu metodą chemiczną w oparciu o badania laboratoryjne(2005) Jewulski, Jan; Zagrajczuk, DanutaThe results of laboratory experiments on the efficiency of oil-products removal from soil by washing out with various chemicals are presented in the paper. The first stage of experiments concentrated on the measurement of surface tension of selected surfactants on the contact with various hydrocarbons, e.g. oil, diesel oil, lubrication oil. The samples of contaminated soil were then washed out with selected surfactants. The hydrocarbon matter content was determined with an analyzer OMS2. The obtained results were presented in a graphical form and then analysed.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Ocena stabilizacji cementem gruntu ilastego zanieczyszczonego olejem napędowym(2005) Gonet, Andrzej; Stryczek, Stanisław; Wójcik, KrzysztofThe results of researches on the change of consistency, mechanical and filtration properties of soil under the influence of diesel oil are presented in the paper. The usability of cement for the stabilization of soil contaminated with diesel oil has been assessed.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Pęcznienie mineralno-chemiczno-organicznych mieszanek gruntowych(2007) Stryczek, Stanisław; Gonet, Andrzej; Rzyczniak, Mirosław; Czekaj, LucynaThe results of studies of determining liability to swelling of chemically treated mixtures of waste drilling mud with organic and ground admixtures are presented in the paper. The investigations were carried out as a part of a project on methods of drilling waste processing and managing. In the course of the analyses, the following parameters were determined: natural humidity, swelling humidity, swelling indices, degrees of swelling, mineral-chemical--organic ground mixtures. The trends of changes of swelling indices, depending on the composition of the mixtures, were also determined.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Porównanie wyników badań eksperymentalnych i analizy numerycznej migracji substancji ropopochodnej w ośrodku gruntowo-wodnym(2007) Fąfara, ZbigniewThe results of experimental results of migration of selected oil products in the ground-water environment were compared with the results of numerical simulation of the process. The laboratory measurements were performed at a special laboratory stand using three physical loose ground models corresponding to the sand and sand-dust conditions. The simulation was made with the use of a mathematical model of the oil contamination migration in the ground-water medium, applying fundamental physical laws and empirical dependences. The parameters of the mathematical model were defined on the basis of the results of independent laboratory experiments and literature data.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Pośrednie metody oceny właściwości filtracyjnych gruntów(2006) Twardowski, Kazimierz; Drożdżak, RyszardThe most important petrophysical models used in geotechnics and hydrology for a direct evaluation of the filtration coefficient (hydraulic conductivity) of ground media are presented in the paper. These models (input data) frequently make use quantitative indices characterizing the granular composition and porosity of grounds.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Rozpraszanie zanieczyszczeń ropopochodnych w gruncie w świetle badań laboratoryjnych(2005) Fąfara, Zbigniew; Miska, WłodzimierzThe phenomenon of flow petroleum hydrocarbon contaminants dispersion, when they migrate in granular soil after their previous on surface spilling, are analysed in the paper. A laboratory measuring post has been presented. The results of measurements for horizontal hydrocarbon dispersion description follow. The measurements were made for three different physical soil models representing typical sandy soil and sandy-mud soil and ethyline, as contaminants. The prepared measuring post creates conditions of similarity. They enable calculation of the amplitude of the incorporated signal during a quantitative interpretation of the received results, which is proportional to the magnitude of flow horizontal dispersion and speed of relocation value front of wave of dispersion in individual models of soil. A strong dependence of coverage and largeness of horizontal hydrocarbon dispersion wave from filtering soil properties has been proved. The mechanism of scattering additionally depends on primary porous media saturation with water.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ temperatury na właściwości technologiczne zaczynów uszczelniających stosowanych do prac geoinżynieryjnych(2007) Stryczek, Stanisław; Gonet, Andrzej; Wiśniowski, RafałSealing slurry should meet a number of requirements resulting from the specific conditions encountered in the injection wells during rock mass sealing and reinforcing operations. Sealing slurries used in the geoengineering works should provide proper course of injection procedures and be resistant to the reservoir conditions. Owing to the atmospheric conditions in which injection is performed (high amplitude of temperature), this factor should be accounted for when working out recipes. The results of investigations of the influence of temperature (5, 10, 20 degrees of Celsius) on the technological properties of sealing slurry based on the metallurgical cement CEM III/B - 32.5 and CEM III/C - 32.5 are presented in the paper.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ właściwości gruntu na migrację węglowodorów na podstawie badań laboratoryjnych(2005) Fąfara, Zbigniew; Rychlicki, StanisławThe mechanisms connected with migration of petroleum hydrocarbon substances in soil and influence of soil properties on their character are presented in the paper. Laboratory measuring stand are described, and exemplary results migration ethyline and car fuel in two models of soils: sandy and sandy-mud, after spilling hydrocarbons on surface are presented. The results have been used for qualitative and quantitative analyses of the influence of properties of soils on the course of hydrocarbon substance diffusion. The rate of vertical filtration of individual contaminant substances in the considered models of soil at various depths, where measuring points were located, was assessed. With the received values it was possible to show the influence of the absolute permeability ratio and primary moisture retension curve on the character of migration. A relationship of coverage and velocity of horizontal dispersion of hydrocarbons with parameters of soil has been indicated.
