Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis thesis presents the groundwater quality, circulating in the bedrock of water reservoir dam in Świnna Poreba, based on physico-chemical composition analyzes made for 10 representative water samples. The results were graphically handled and interpreted. This shows a large hydrogeochemical diversity of examined water and the impact on its chemical composition caused by cement barrier. Chemical composition was compared with groundwater hydrogeochemical background located in direct basin and its bowl. Thanks to this comparison it appeared that there is an unusually high concentrations of sodium, potassium, sulfates, silica and certain microelements. This thesis includes also the handling of hydrogeochemical modeling results, and the possibility of using the groundwater quality monitoring, as a support for the existing dam’s technical condition control system.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Monitoring zawartości węglowodorów w wodzie podziemnej w otoczeniu stacji paliw płynnych zlokalizowanych w strefie ochronnej ujęcia wód podziemnych(2009) Solecki, TadeuszThis paper presents results of the investigations of the groundwater quality in the neighborhood of the installations that theoretically could be a source of groundwater pollution. Results of the monitoring measurements of the hydrocarbons content in groundwater samples have been statistically analysed and reported on the control monitoring chart, for the period of the 2002-2008. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaAccording to the Water Framework Directive (RDW 2000) and Groundwater directive(DWP 2006), groundwater chemical status assessment is associated with the need to estimate the uncertainty of results from monitoring studies. In this work the uncertainty associated with sampling of groundwater for human consumption was estimated. Groundwater samples (normal and duplicate) was taken from the Krolewski spring in Krakow once a month during the period from May 2009 to April 2010. In the samples were determined the following indicators: S, Si, K, Na, Ca, B, Ba, Fe, Li, Mn, Sr, Zn. Samples were analyzed at the Hydrogeochemical Laboratory KHGiOW AGH, using ICP-AES 40 PLASMA Perkin-Elmer camera. To identificate the outliers, scatter pllot, chart of differences and range chart were used (according to NORDEST, 2006). To calculate the total variance separated into theree parts: geochemical, sampling and analysis and the standard uncertainty (u), extended (U) and relative (U ') uncertainty for of these components, ROBAN software was used. In most cases, the value of the measurement uncertainty does not exceed 50%, in the case of Zn is only slightly more than 50% and amounts to 51.16%. The values of the uncertainty associated with analytical measurements are small and for most analytes do not exceed 10%, only for Ba is slightly higher and amounts to 14.29%, while the uncertainty associated with the process of sampling is satisfactory for all tested indicators: for S, Si, K, Na, Mg, Ca, Fe, Li, Mn, Sr and does not exceed 10%, the results obtained for B and Ba are in the range 10-20%, and in the case of Zn were obtained for the higher value (41.86%).Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Ocena niepewności związanej z poborem próbek w oparciu o praktyczną granicę oznaczalności (na przykładzie monitoringu wód podziemnych zlewni Raby)(Data obrony: 2013-07-24) Gapska, Barbara
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIn accordance with European Union directives (RDW, 2000, DWP, 2006), a necessary requirement for assessing of the chemical status is assessment of measurement uncertainty of the groundwater monitoring. This paper shows the example of the use of practical quantification limit to assessment of uncertainty associated with sampling. For this purpose, the results of the analyses of groundwater monitoring of the Raba river Basin are used (Kmiecik, 2007-2010). Practical quantification limits were estimated based on the results of 30 chemical indicators obtained for field blank samples, taken in 25th–26th of April 2008 under the quality control procedure QA/QC. A preliminary data analysis was consisted of the basic descriptive statistics determination (mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, range) and distribution of concentrations of chemical indicators presentation - on the control charts of individual measurements. Assessment of uncertainty associated with sampling was based on the estimation of relation between practical quantification limit PDL and limit of determination DL. In the most cases, practical quantification limit PDL was 1-2 orders of magnitude higher than limit of determination DL. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe current paper describes methodology and provides assessment of the groundwater in the basin of the Koniecpólka River. The chemical and quantitative status of the Quarternary groundwater has been evaluated on the basis of archival data from the studied area in accordance with the applicable legal documentation. Due to non-compliance with the limit values of physico-chemical components, of Fe and pH in particular, the present work has demonstrated a poor chemical status of the groundwater. On the basis of a water-economic balance test of the river basin, together with the comparison of disposable resources to groundwater extraction in the river basin and to GWB, the quantitative status of the groundwater in the basin of the Koniecpólka River has been assessed as poor, and the GWB 135 (2009) – as good. Due to the specific geological formation of bedrock and the accumulation of closely located sources of anthropogenic water pollution, the groundwater in the said region is highly exposed to degradation. Therefore, it has been recommended to undertake actions aiming at the restoration of a good status of the groundwater and at the elimination of its pollution sources in the region in question.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Projekt monitoringu wód podziemnych na terenie prowadzonej eksploatacji górniczej Zakładu Górniczego „Janina” rejon Gromiec(Data obrony: 2017-01-30) Potempa, Wojciech
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaW niniejszej pracy przedstawiono projekt nowej sieci monitoringu wód podziemnych w rejonie prowadzonej eksploatacji węgla kamiennego rejonu wydobywczego „Gromiec” przez Tauron Wydobycie S.A. Zakład Górniczy „Janina”. Projekt monitoringu zakłada prowadzenie stałych obserwacji zmian wysokości poziomu zwierciadła wód gruntowych wraz z pomiarem wysokości terenu. Wahania zwierciadła wód wywołane prowadzoną eksploatacją górniczą wpływają negatywnie zarówno na stosunki wodne przedmiotowego rejonu, jak również w sposób pośredni na zmiany stan warunków geotechnicznych podłoża gruntowego. W przedmiotowej pracy omówiono możliwe zmiany stanu parametrów geotechnicznych, takie jak: upłynnienie gruntu, sufozja oraz zmiany warunków hydrogeologicznych między innymi: zmiany warunków filtracji wód, zmiany wysokości bazy drenażowej i oddziaływanie wód bezpośrednio na powierzchnię terenu względem założonych osiadań rejonu objętego projektowaną eksploatacją. W projekcie zostały ponadto zaprojektowane punkty pomiarowe w postaci piezometrów, punktów reperowych w pobliżu zbiorników wodnych oraz linii geodezyjnych w ciągu rzek. Na podstawie map osiadań opracowano zasięg możliwych rozlewisk i terenów zawodnionych, które mogą powstać w wyniku eksploatacji. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe purpose of this study was to assess uncertainty associated with sampling groundwater of tested Zdrój Nadzieja in Krakow. The designation of this quantity allowed to determine whether the given method of groundwater sampling meets the established requirements. It was also carried out assessment of groundwater chemical status this spring. The evaluation was conducted based on regulations contained in the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) Directive for groundwater (2006/118/EC), Regulation of the Minister of Environment in 2008 on the criteria and method of evaluation of groundwater (Journal Laws of 2008, No 143, pos. 896)and the Regulation of the Minister of Environment in 2008 on the form and method of monitoring uniform of surface water and groundwater (Journal Laws of 2011, No 258, pos. 1550). In order to ascertain performed two series of sampling groundwater from the Królewski spring in Krakow. We compared two series of control samples of normal and duplicate taken by two different samplers (J and U) in the same way and analyzed in the same laboratory using the same sampling methods. It presents the necessary instruments to carry out the assessment and discusses the research methodology of piezometers. The paper provides indicators and criteria for assessment of the technical condition of piezometers. The new method was introduced to hydrogeological practise in Bełchatów Lignite Mine. The paper presents the results obtained during the period of two years of application of the methods of the NSA Paramex Station. The summary contains the conclusions of existing applications.
