The thesis discusses fulfilling the legal regulations concerning environment protection in the Skawina Power Plant. The paper describes the impact of the plant on the environment and methods of adjustment to currently in force legal regulations. Basing on valid legal acts, particular components of the environment were presented in the context of their pollution. The paper shows, that all norms and requirements stated in integrated permits and other administrative decisions in force, are strictly obeyed by conventional Skawina Power Plant. Compliance with standards, as well as, being in a line with European Union policies led to the fact, that during past few years the Skawina Power Plant reduced damage to the environment.

Master`s thesis presents an assessment of compliance with legal regulation concerning waste management by Grupa Azoty S.A. The paper is a review of existing waste management legislation. Thesis project contains the characteristics of an establishment's activities in the manufacturing processes of mineral fertilizers and plastics. The core of this thesis is description of the waste management conducted by Grupa Azoty SA. This part contains the number and types of waste, which are generated in the factory, waste treatment and the investments reducing the negative waste impact on the environment. The paper shows that legislation in the field of waste management and other administrative decisions in force, are strictly obeyed by Grupa Azoty S.A. Attention to environmental issues led to reduce waste impact to the environment over the past few years.

The paper describes the impact of ZGH “Bolesław” S.A. on the environment and methods of adjustment to currently in force legal regulations. Based on valid legal acts, particular components of the environment were presented in the context of their pollution. The paper shows that all standards and requirements contained in integrated permits are strictly obeyed by ZGH “Bolesław” S.A.. Compliance with standards, as well as, being in a line with environmental policy led to the fact, that during past years ZGH “Bolesław” S.A.. reduced damage to the environment.
