    Dissertation presents results of displacement and relaxation studies of rockmass which surrounded three longwall passages in 209 seem and also deformation and loads of supports before and behind line of exploitation in those passages. Conducted research was meant to estimate effectiveness of applied strengthening of main support for second use passages in the area of one side gobs surroundings. Conducted in "in situ" conditions studies had also a target of indicating such methods which allows getting unambiguous results without using specialist equipment with possibilities of use before and behind line of exploitation. Optimal technologies choosing for strengthening supports of longwall passages which ensure their second use is one of the most important ways to improve effectiveness of longwall exploitation.
