Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Charakterystyka macierzystości wybranych utworów fliszowych w przygranicznej strefie polskich Karpat Zewnętrznych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Kosakowski, Paweł; Więcław, Dariusz; Kotarba, MaciejPotential source rock horizons of the flysch cover were geochemically characterized in the eastern border area of the Polish flysch Carpathians: Lower Cretaceous Verovice, Lgota and Spas Beds, Upper Cretaceous Istebna and Inoceramian Beds as well as Oligocene Menilite Beds. The results of geochemical analyses of 875 rock samples collected from 11 boreholes and 48 outcrops in the Polish Outer Carpathians as well as from the adjacent Ukrainian were analyzed. The results indicate that Menilite Beds are the best source rocks of the Carpathian flysch cover in all analyzed tectonic units. The oil-prone Type II kerogen, deposited in marine environment of regular salinity, was proved to be usually immature or mature at an early stage of »oil window«. Kinetic parameters of organic matter dispersed in the Menilite Beds, calculated based on organic sulphur content, are similar for the Silesian and Skole units and significantly lower in the Boryslav-Pokuttya Unit. The remaining lithostratigraphic divisions: Verovice, Lgota, Spas, Istebna and Inoceramian Beds, locally meet the source-rock requirements and can supplement the hydrocarbon balance of the Carpathians.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Górnojurajsko-dolnokredowe skały macierzyste w zachodniej części Karpat fliszowych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2008) Golonka, Jan; Matyasik, Irena; Skupien, Petr; Więcław, Dariusz; Waśkowska, Anna; Krobicki, Michał; Strzeboński, Piotr Andrzej; Vašíček, ZdenĕkThe analysis of possibility to find Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous source rocks in the western part of Flysch Carpathians in Poland and Czech Republic was the subject of present paper. The Upper Jurassic organic-rich Mikulov marls represent world-class source rocks. These 1400 m thick organic-rich rocks with TOC value 0.2 $\div$ 10% sourced oils in the Vienna Basin and Carpathian subthrust in Czech Republic and Austria. The similar source rocks perhaps exist in the deeper subthrust areas in Poland. The Vendryne Formation rocks do not contain significant amount of organic carbon. The increased TOC was encountered within the Verovice Formation and uppermost part of Hradiste Formatio. These rocks represent global anoxic event OAE 1b. Verovice Formation contains potential source rocks for the Outer Carpathians systems with reservoirs various in age.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Litostratygrafia osadów górnej jury i dolnej kredy zachodniej części Karpat zewnętrznych (propozycja do dyskusji)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2008) Golonka, Jan; Vašíček, Zdenĕk; Skupien, Petr; Waśkowska, Anna; Krobicki, Michał; Cieszkowski, Marek; Ślączka, Andrzej; Słomka, TadeuszUpper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous deposits are part of the Outer Carpathians nappes: Magura, Silesian and Sub-Silesian-Żdanice-Waschberg, and are known in olistholites, which occur within different units of the Outer Carpathians. Authors systematized lithostratigraphical units according to their primary position in sedimentary basins and other sedimentary areas. Magura Basin originated in Middle Jurassic and proto-Silesian Basin in Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous times together with syn- and post-rift deposits. Sub-Silesian-Żdanice sedimentary area originated in Late Cretaceous, and during Jurassic and Early Cretaceous times was northern part of the proto-Silesian Basin. The source areas for olistholites have been northern slope and shelf of the proto-Silesian Basin and submerged intra-oceanic ridges (cordilleras).Item type:Doctoral Dissertation, Access status: Metadata only , Petrogeneza a właściwości zbiornikowe dolnokredowych piaskowców grupy średniej między Krosnem a Sanokiem (Karpaty zewnętrzne)(Data obrony: 2008) Stańczak, Grażyna
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe ivestigated area is located within the front of the Silesian Nappe, thrusted over the Sub-Silesian Nappe. The Early Cretaceous sandstones of the Grodziszcze, Lgota and Węglówka Beds reveal strong facial differentiation there. They were logged and sampled with the respect to it. It was found that the compaction was the main process responsible for the reduction of the sandstone porosity. Its intensity generally grows with the thickness of the overburden. The role of the cementation was generally smaller. It affected the sandstone of the Lgota Beds to the greatest extent, while the Grodziszcze Sandstone of the Sub-Silesian Nappe were cemented the least. The Węglówka Sandstone reveal the best reservoir properties, which are due to two factors: the early and limited siliceous cementation, which led only to the stabilization of the grain framework and carbonate cementation within concretions. Dispersed carbonate cementation, which originated from rich content of the carbonate detritus in other Early Cretaceous sandstones considerably reduced the pore space supported by the early siliceous cementation. The mineral composition of the detritic components played the main role in the modeling of the reservoir properties of the Early Cretaceous sandstones. It controlled the diagenesis and formation of specific assemblages of cements. Reservoir properties were controlled by lithofacies to far lesser extent.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zastosowanie metody procesów przejściowych do wykrywania złóż węglowodorów w rejonie Grabownicy Starzeńskiej - Humnisk – Brzozowa(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Klityński, Wojciech; Targosz, PawełThe paper presents the geologic and geoelectric characteristics of the Grabownica Starzeńska - Humniska - Brzozów area (Polish Eastern Carpathians) based on electric logs and downhole geologic data. Synthetic TDEM sounding curves were calculated based on electric log data from four boreholes from the study area. The synthetic sounding curves were analysed from the point of view of possible interpretation of high-resistivity layers that could be prospective for oil and gas exploration. The 1D Occam interpretation of chosen TDEM soundings from profiles that ran across the Humniska Brzozów-7 borehole, was performed. The integrated data interpretation was made to estimate the capability of TDEM method to map hydrocarbon deposits at the study area.
