    Comprehensive interpretation of well log data and laboratory data is an excellent tool to get an information about geological formation. In this M.Sc. thesis porosity as reservoir parameter was calculated from the sonic log and the results were compared with laboratory data. The comprehensive interpretation was also done in Interlog application (GeoWIN program) in sections selected by author. Results were compared with the results of the comprehensive interpretation in ULTRA program made by company Geofizyka Kraków SA. In the Interlog application there were calculated porosity, permeability, saturation and lithological components. Manual calculations in excel program referred to total porosity and shaliness. Data were from the Carpathian Foredeep from two boreholes: Cierpisz-2 and Mrowla-1.
