    Diploma dissertation presents the ability of using computer analysis and digital image processing in order to quickly estimate the increase fracture of the rock. For this purpose, were prepared special samples of limestone, which has been deformed by triaxial stress system. As a result, the sample have different degree of deformation. The algorithm has been designed based on the images cross sections of those samples. This algorithm is designed to find, and analyze the information about fracture from the images. The results revealed that the area of fracture increases with increasing deformation degree of samples.
