Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Analiza zbiornikowa osadów jury górnej podłoża Karpat fliszowych w strefie Pleśna-Łękawka(Data obrony: 2011-12-19) Strąg, Waldemar
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis master’s thesis presents reservoir analysis properties of the Upper Jurassic carbonate rocks in Pleśna-Łękawka area. The description of the geological structure and tectonic characteristics of the Outer Carpathians central part were prepared. The characteristics of the Upper Jurassic lithological range as well as detailed description of biogenic structures are also included in this thesis. The analysis contains a depiction of such factors as: erosion, diagenesis and dolomitization. They affect the size of the reservoir parameters significantly. The research in this thesis summarizes the petrophysical parameters like: porosity, penetrability and thickness. The analysis also takes into account their variability in relation to the depth. Then, the carbonate rocks of the Upper Jurassic in Pleśna-Łękawka area, have been classified. On this basis the conclusions concerning the features and capability of Upper Jurassic reservoir carbonate rocks have been drawn.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Budowa geologiczna rejonu Sucha Beskidzka - Świnna Poręba (polskie Karpaty fliszowe)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Cieszkowski, Marek; Golonka, Jan; Waśkowska, Anna; Chrustek, MonikaUpper Cretaceous and Paleogene rocks of the Silesian and Magura Nappes build up the complex structure of the investigated area, which is stretching along the Skawa River valley between Sucha Beskidzka and Świnna Poręba. Middle and Upper Godula Beds, Istebna Beds, Eocene red shales and Ciężkowice Sandstone as well as Hieroglyphic, Menilite and Krosno Beds form the Silesian Succession. The debris-flow deposits with exotic rocks pebbles and large olistolites were observed within the Krosno Beds. The sedimentary succession is typical for the Siary sub-unit from the Magura Nappe. The present authors proposed the formal lithostratigraphic names for this unit. According to this formalization the following lithostratigraphic units have been distinguished within the Siary succession: Jaworzynka Formation (Ropianka Beds) with Gołynia Shale member and Mutne Sandstone Member within the Paleocene part of profile, Łabowa Formation with the Żurawnica Sandstone Member, the Skawce Sandstone Member, Beloveza Formation, and Maków Beskid Formation with Zembrzyce Shale Member, Wątkowa Sandstone Member and Budzów Shale Member. The Silesian and Magura Nappes rocks are strongly folded, within the Magura Nappes several scales and longitudinal shear zones have been distinguished. The formations of both units are cut by the transversal fault systems of The Magura Nappe has the independent fault systems, some of its dislocations have been acquired, however, from the Silesian Nappe.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Budowa wewnętrzna złoża dolomitów i wapieni „Budy”(Data obrony: 2013-09-27) Fudali, Paulina

Formal lithostratigraphic units were distinguished on the basis of mapping. The lithostratigraphic units are the age of Middle Paleocene - Middle Eocene age. Flysch deposits were classified as the Szczawnica Formation with the Życzanów Member, Zarzecze Formation and Piwniczna Member of the Magura Formation in the investigated area. Strike-slip faults and faulted formations complicate the geological structure of the described region. The creation some of these faults is connected with andesite intrusions. Strong faulted strata occurs in the southern part of the region along the overthrust of the Pieniny Klippen Belt on the Magura Nappe. The contact line between the Pieniny Klippen Belt and Paleogene of the Magura Nappe is heterogeneous. The evidences of it are outcrops of klippen, which occur within the Szczawnica Formation and the Zarzecze Formation.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Karbon Appalachów i jego porównanie z karbonem Górnośląskiego oraz Lubelskiego Zagłębia Węglowego(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2007) Zdanowski, AlbinThe Carboniferous deposits occur generally on the entire territory of the United States of America. The region to be correlated is the West Virginia where numerous Carboniferous outcrops occur and they are detailed floristically documented. The studied region is located west of the Breward tectonic zone, the inner boundary of the Appalachian between the Late Palaeozoic Atlantic Plate and the Early Palaeozoic Central Plate. The Carboniferous macroflora documents the Late Mississippian (Serpukhovian/Namurian A) and the Late Pennsylvanian (Late Bashkirian-Early Moscovian). The documented stratigraphic gap the post-Chesterian surface in the studied region corresponds to the latest Mississippian and Early Pennsylvanian. In Polish coal basins it probably corresponds to the stratigraphic gap ascribed to the $H_1$ and $H_2$ goniatite zones. In both studied regions marine and paralic deposits with coal beds occur below the gap and limnic-fluvial deposits with coal beds and thick paralic deposits dominate just above it.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Lithostratigraphic classification of the Tsodilo Hills Group: a Palaeo- to Mesoproterozoic metasedimentary succession in NW Botswana(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Wendorff, Marek; Świąder, AndrzejThe Tsodilo Hills Group strata exposed in the Tsodilo Hills are an association of meta-arenites, metaconglomerates, quartz-mica schists, sandstone, red siltstone and sedimentary breccia deposited on an open siliciclastic marine shelf between the Late Palaeoproterozic and Late Mesoproterozoic, and outcropping in NW Botswana. The succession is dominated by three micaceous quartzite units interlayered with subordinate lenses and wedges of other rock types. Facies gradients from S to N are expressed by: decreasing content of muscovite at all levels of metasediment organisation from thin wedge-shaped units to thick quartzite complexes, as well as a decrease in pebble content and increase in arenaceous matrix in some metaconglomerate beds, matching regional palaeotransport direction. Well-rounded pebbles of extrabasinal rocks are flat, suggesting redeposition from a beach environment. Lenticular conglomeratic bodies with erosional lower boundaries represent infills of local incisions in the sandy bottom sediments. The abundance of laterally discontinuous lithological units reflects shelf palaeotopography controlled and modified by deposition and migration of large bed forms, ranging from megaripple marks (or submarine dunes) to sand waves. Deposition was influenced by tides and two regressive events. The older regression resulted in a marker unit of tidal mudflat-related red-bed facies: mudstone, siltstone, channel-fill sandstone and sedimentary breccia. The second regression is indicated by a tabular conglomerate marker reflecting increased input of coarse terrigenous material.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Litostratygrafia osadów górnej jury i dolnej kredy zachodniej części Karpat zewnętrznych (propozycja do dyskusji)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2008) Golonka, Jan; Vašíček, Zdenĕk; Skupien, Petr; Waśkowska, Anna; Krobicki, Michał; Cieszkowski, Marek; Ślączka, Andrzej; Słomka, TadeuszUpper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous deposits are part of the Outer Carpathians nappes: Magura, Silesian and Sub-Silesian-Żdanice-Waschberg, and are known in olistholites, which occur within different units of the Outer Carpathians. Authors systematized lithostratigraphical units according to their primary position in sedimentary basins and other sedimentary areas. Magura Basin originated in Middle Jurassic and proto-Silesian Basin in Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous times together with syn- and post-rift deposits. Sub-Silesian-Żdanice sedimentary area originated in Late Cretaceous, and during Jurassic and Early Cretaceous times was northern part of the proto-Silesian Basin. The source areas for olistholites have been northern slope and shelf of the proto-Silesian Basin and submerged intra-oceanic ridges (cordilleras).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Nowe jednostki litostratygraficzne w randze warstw w obrębie formacji gogolińskiej (trias środkowy) na Śląsku Opolskim(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Kowal-Linka, MonikaThe Zakrzów Crinoidal Limestone Member is subdivided into the three subordinate units: the Krapkowice Pelitic Limestone Bed built of thin-bedded, wavy-bedded and crumpled marly pelitic limestones, the Dąbrówka Bioclastic Limestone Bed consisting of thick- to medium-bedded, cross-bedded bioclastic limestones (crinoidal), the Podbór Bioclastic Limestone Bed built of thin- to medium-bedded bioclastic limestones, pelitic limestones and intraformational conglomerates. The lower part of the Skała Marl Member consisting locally of the intraformational conglomerate with big intraclasts covered by the intraformational conglomerate with small intraclasts is designed as the Kocina Intraformational Conglomerate Bed. The Emilówka Cellular Limestone Member is subdivided into the two subordinate units: the Karłubiec Bioclastic Limestone Bed built of thin-to medium-bedded bioclastic and pelitic limestones and the Otmęt Marly Limestone Bed consisting of strongly porous, thin-bedded marly limestones (dedolomites).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Paleogene of the Magura Nappe adjacent to the Pieniny Klippen Belt between Szczawnica and Krościenko (Outer Carpathians, Poland)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2014) Golonka, Jan; Waśkowska, AnnaThe present authors investigated the Paleogene deposits of the internal zone of the Magura Basin known as the Krynica Subunit or Krynica zone in Poland. These deposits crop out in the peri-Pieniny zone, in the area between Szczawnica and Krościenko. The oldest flysch deposits belong to the Paleocene - Lower Eocene Szczawnica Formation. This formation is covered by thin-bedded turbidites of the Eocene Zarzecze Formation locally with intercalations of the thick-bedded sandstones of the Krynica Member and Łęcko-type marls. The youngest rocks in this area belong to the Eocene-Oligocene Magura Formation. The Zarzecze Formation occupies a large part of the Krynica zone of the Magura Nappe border structure. Some deposits previously distinguished as the Szczawnica Formation were transferred to the Zarzecze Formation. The foraminiferal assemblages confirm the Eocene age of these deposits.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Rozwój badań utworów miocenu w Karpatach Zachodnich na obszarze Bielsko – Kraków(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Moryc, WładysławThe paper presents chronologically arranged discussion of existing views on the lithostratigraphic development of the Western Carpathian Miocene deposits as well as data from old and new boreholes in the studied area. The present author suggests the uniform stratigraphic division of the Miocene (especially Lower Miocene) deposits based on existing results and new findings. He also presents the occurrence and extent of distinguished lithostratigraphic units as well as the evolution of the Miocene basin and its tectogenesis. Miocene deposits in the Polish part of the Western Carpathians consist of thick deposit up to about 3000 meters. Almost half of these are represented by Lower Miocene deposits. The Miocene basin was moved northwards and younger deposits originated during folding processes of the Carpathian orogen. Several lithostratigraphical units were distinguished: Zawoja, Sucha and Stryszawa formations of the Lower Miocene deposits and Jachówki, Dębowiec and Skawina formations of the Lower Badenian one.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Stratygrafia polskich Karpat fliszowych pomiędzy Bielskiem-Białą a Nowym Targiem(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2007) Golonka, Jan; Waśkowska, AnnaJurassic, Cretaceous, Paleogene, and Neogene allochtonous rocks of the Outer Carpathians build up the complex area between Bielsko-Biała and Nowy Targ. These deposits belong recently to the Magura, Fore-Magura, Silesian, Sub-Silesian and Skole Nappes. The present authors provided the systematic arrangement of the lithostratigraphic units according to their occurrence within the original basins and other sedimentary areas. The Magura Basin was formed in the Middle Jurassic. The deep--water sedimentation of radiolarites and carbonates dominated at the beginning, since the Late Cretaceous the flysch sedimentation prevailed. The proto-Silesian Basin developed during Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous times with the syn-rift and post-rift formations. The Silesian, Fore-Magura, Skole Basins formed during Late Cretaceous. Fore-Silesian sedimentary area included the western end of the Sub-Silesian Ridge and slopes of the Silesian and Skole Basins. The western end of the Skole Basin is located within the investigated area. The slope deposits of the Sub-Silesian type and separated basinal flysch facies occurred there. The basins existed during Late Eocene to Early Miocene times: the remnant piggy-back Magura Basin and, in the northern part of the accretionary prism the Krosno Basin with Menilite and Krosno Formations.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Szczegółowa mapa geologiczna oraz dokumentacja litostratygraficzna i sedymentologiczna centrum Skrzydlnej i otoczenia(Data obrony: 2016-09-29) Doległo, Bartosz
Pomiędzy nimi, a pozostałymi ogniwami stratygraficznymi łuski Piwkówki występuje znaczna redukcja tektoniczna. Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The Baklia Fault Zone - a regional strike-slip zone splitting Prins Karls Foreland (Svalbard)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2016) Ziemniak, Grzegorz; Czerny, Jerzy; Manecki, Maciej; Kośmińska, KarolinaPrins Karls Foreland (PKF) is a westernmost island of Svalbard Archipelago belonging to the Southwestern Basement Province.
