Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , »Design w terenie« – partycypacja lokalnych społeczności w procesie rewitalizacji(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2015) Gawron, GrzegorzMany Silesian cities and their districts still has strong traces of the industrial past, which often show their spatial and social degradation. This industrial inheritance and difficult process of restructuring has set a serious challenge for local governments. The answer for it is the search for new solutions and scenarios which should have introduced a new quality of life and functioning of the local community. One of the interesting projects in this area were design workshops »Design in the field«. Their uniqueness was based on the combined creative potential of designers and residents of selected cities to find a new solutions to meet local needs and problems.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Geologiczne uwarunkowania akumulacji gazu ziemnego w utworach miocenu pomiędzy Dębicą a Przeworskiem w aspekcie bezpieczeństwa energetycznego społeczności lokalnej(Data obrony: 2012-11-30) Lechowski, Rafał
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe accumulation of natural gas in the region between Debica and Przeworsk is mainly connected with the autochthonous Miocene Carpathian Foredeep. In this area documented a total of 35 beds, of which 11 are currently in operation. Natural gas is present in the Commonwealth of Independent alternating sandstone-mudstone levels and sandstone. Gas accumulations occur in different types of traps, which is the most common form anticlines compaction. Therefore, the bed consists of a plurality of gas-bearing horizons. Resources of natural gas from producing fields in the period 2000-2011 amounts to 4,712.58 million m3, while the average annual production of natural gas in the area is 149.57 million m3. Natural gas resources available allow for energy security community for many years. It is therefore important to manage this energy resource in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Geologiczne uwarunkowania akumulacji gazu ziemnego w utworach miocenu pomiędzy Krakowem a Dębicą w aspekcie bezpieczeństwa energetycznego społeczności lokalnej(Data obrony: 2012-11-20) Madetko, Michał
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIn the autochthonous Miocene strata of the Carpathian Foredeep on the area between Krakow and Debica the 26 deposits of the natural gas have been found out, among them 16 are currently exploit. They are connected with the sandstone and sandstone-mudstone levels. These deposits are usually multihorizontal and they have anticlinal form. The total balance reserves of accumulation amounts to 4,318 billion m3 and an annual extraction amounts to 188,28 million m3. In this region a considerable potential of the natural gas exists thanks to two accumulations: Tarnów and Pilzno South, which contain 45% of natural gas and there is 79% extraction of an energetic material. Thanks to rich amounts of natural gas in the autochthonous Miocene strata the local community can theoretically satisfy its needs in 69% for at least a dozen or so years. This time should be allocated for searching an alternative power sources. Currently the largest buyer of the natural gas in this region is Zaklady Azotowe S.A. in Tarnow-Moscice.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Partycypacja społeczna czynnikiem rozwoju powiatu? Analiza opinii urzędników wybranych samorządów powiatowych województwa świętokrzyskiego(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2012) Migaczewska, Ewa; Masłyk, TomaszThe article attempts to summarize one of the topics explored in the research grant entitled »Civilizational development of sub-national communities and local government processes and the institutionalization of social and economic participation in Poland«. The main subject of discussion undertaken in this article is the category of civic participation described by local government officials of two districts: skarżyski and staszowski in Świętokrzyskie voivodeship. Our aim is to present how the local government officials understand the essence of civic participation and its importance for the development of the region. Information received from local government officials, who were interviewed, also help to reconstruct pattern of behavior of (non)subjectivity of the citizens. This pattern is formed by client attitudes which dominated over attitudes of commitment and social participation. In result social participation can not be regarded as an important factor in stimulating the development of the region.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Role of digital tools in community management and urban participation (evidence of Belarus)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2022) Lebedeva, ElenaThis article is devoted to an analysis of the »hybrid neighborhood« phenomenon. Traditionally, a Soviet residential yard is presented in urban studies as the sphere of a neighbor’s active participation. The post-Soviet changes have significantly weakened the activities of neighbor communities, however, the spread of digital communication tools (social networks and messengers) has led to an increase in civic engagement in cities (new forms of neighboring communities are created, traditions of spending time together with neighbors revived, and individuals are actively involving in the struggle for their »place in the city«). The empirical materials that are analyzed reveal the features of neighbors interacting demonstrate the differences between »neighbor« and »civil« communication modes, define the role of online communities in local self-government, and practically implement the »right to the city«.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , »Trauma sprawców« jako przedmiot społecznie kształtowanych procesów pamiętania i zapominania w społeczności lokalnej. Przypadek Gniewczyny(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2014) Magierowski, MateuszThe article discusses the issue of socially shaped processes of remembering and forgetting about a »negative group past« (Bilewicz 2008), considering the case of Gniewczyna, where local firemen took part in mass murder committed against Jews in 1942. Using data from individual interviews with members of the local community, local elites, and experts, I analyze interactions among (non)memories, framed on various dimensions of the life of a local community: individual, public, family and one shaped in neighbourhood circles. Treating Alexander’s theory of cultural trauma and Halbwachs’s theory of social memory as analytical frameworks, I also discuss why the »representation of perpetrator’s trauma« presented by a witness of the murder, Tadeusz Markiel, was fruitless in the local community perspective.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wybrane modele ekoturystyki na obszarach przyrodniczo cennych w Polsce(2010) Machnik, AleksandraSustainable tourism is nowadays preferred by professional and informal groups concerned about nature protection and as well the tourist management sector. Moreover, tourists more often decide to choose ecologically orientedforms of leisure and holidays, what raises theirs demands toward tour-operators. Sustainable tourism and especially its core - ecotourism - is strongly orientatedfor both - local nature and local community. Paper contains a short review of some chosen models of developing ecotourism in protected and nature valuable areas - adapting model, sophisticated model, educational and family model. They were constructed according to the tourist attitude towards nature and heritage and also the activity of local community. Such factors like time for leisure and holidays or educational impact were also taken into consideration. However the most important was the tourist - his former experiences, level of knowledge and involvement as well as his expectations.
