Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Detection and location of microseismic events induced by hydraulic fracturing(Data obrony: 2013-11-06) Cieplicki, Robert
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIn this work I develop and apply a detection and relative location method for microearthquakes induced by hydraulic fracturing. This method is based on cross-correlation stacking for a surface microseismic array and uses both P- and S-wave. I show that similarity of waveforms generated by microearthquakes allows for detection of weak ones (‘slaves’) by cross-correlation with stronger (‘master’). To that end, I stack cross-correlations along moveout of the master event. Further, I show how adjustment of this moveout before stacking by adding differential traveltimes enables location of slave events relative to a master with high precision. I successfully apply described method to real data and find the results of detection and location consistent with migration-based commercial processing. Crosscorrelation stacking improved the results by detecting 20% more events then migration. In the aspect of relative location, application of both P- and S-wave significantly reduced vertical uncertainty of microearthquakes compared to using only P-wave.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Experimental evaluation of the precision of mobile terminal location techniques in contemporary wireless local area networks(Data obrony: 2021-03-25) Dybowicz, Michał

Wydział Geodezji Górniczej i Inżynierii ŚrodowiskaItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Impact of ATM location on its profi tability in Malopolskie and Podkarpackie provinces(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Gurgul, Henryk; Suder, MarcinThe first decade of the 21st century saw a dynamic development in ATM networks. This was reflected in the growth of the number of ATMs and number of withdrawals. However, in the beginning of the second decade, a slowdown in the dynamic development of this part of the banking system has been observed in Poland. The significant reduction of interchange (which is the main source of revenue for ATM network deployers) and growing availability of cashless payments tempered a further intensive development of these networks. Over the next 3 years, this regression was reflected in the declining number of withdrawals from ATMs and the insignifi cant growth of the number of ATMs. Therefore, ATM owners are forced to search for new solutions that could guarantee more profits. One way is the suitable choice of locations for new ATMs and removal of ATMs from non-profi table locations. In this paper, the authors have attempted to indicate the locations with the largest number of withdrawals on the basis of the number of withdrawals from the ATMs of the one of the largest ATM network deployers. The ATMs with the largest number of withdrawals are sources of the largest profits due to interchange. The authors have also indicated those locations where ATMs can be a source of losses.
Wszystkie dane zostały wygenerowane w programie Matlab.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Program do automatycznej lokalizacji zjawisk sejsmicznych w kopalni „Rudna” wykorzystujący sztuczne sieci neuronowe(Data obrony: 2013-07-04) Stawczyk, Maciej
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaCreated work presents computer program for automatic location of seismic events using artificial neural networks. In the work are presented the results of the analysis of activity of neural networks in the localization process. There have been veified influence of the size of the training set and the influence of the the number of neurons in the input and hidden layer on efficiency in the process of automatic location. Also created neural networks have been compared to addition from R, which implements ANN too.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Zastosowanie badań sejsmicznych dla lokalizacji budowli wielkogabarytowych na przykładzie cementowni Rudniki(Data obrony: 2010-10-06) Sala, Szymon
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIn the thesis the opportunity of seismic methods application (refraction method, MASW) in order to determine the physical parameters and seismic boundaries in the medium has been introduced. The relationships between seismic velocities, physical parameters and geotechnical classifications have been showed. The thesis discusses the higher effectiveness of the use of seismic methods in comparison to traditional geological surveys. It is based on the data obtained from the measurements carried out in the Rudniki cement mill area.
