Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Concept of production facilities layout in company Alumin, s.r.o. Slovakia(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2011) Straka, MartinThe aim of part of the solution layout processing company is an analysis of the existing system of distribution of production equipment company, identification of material flows and showing the possibility of modifying the layout of production facilities in compliance with capacity, safety and quality requirements for production. Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Logistic process reengineering : a case study(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2010) Cempel, Witold AleksanderThe aim of this paper is to present the case study of business processes reengineering (BPR). Important part of the change was the logistic process. At the beginning, the literature review on process approach and BPR was presented. Next a BPR methodology was shown. The case study of the implemented BPR change consists of three parts. In the first part, the company’s standing before the change was characterised. Next, the methodology of the project, based on the BPR approach, was defined. In the third part, the results of the BPR change were depicted. The article ends up with general conclusions.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Logistyka a teoria systemów(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Michlowicz, EdwardThe development observed for years of the logistics aims at building the theory of the logistics. For her a scientific nature is being discussed. For many authors there is no doubt that the theory of the logistics should be settled in the systems theory. Against this background however many expressions of both expressions running away from recognized and universally accepted dates and the definition appear. Tidying up and systematizing connections of the logistics and systems is planning the author. A conception is an effect recapitulating discussions of logistic system.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Outsourcing of transport service - perspective of manufacturers(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2010) Szuster, MariuszIn case of manufacturers, outsourcing of logistics functions is a very popular tool. In contemporary market conditions, like high time pressure, transport service quality is especially important. Low costs, short time of transport and accepted level of risk are crucial for logistics managers. There are also some instructions how to proceed during logistics service provider selection and evaluation.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Regimes of logistics, pauses in the flow, stillness in (near) industrial non-places and mobility infrastructure(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2015) Stanisz, AgataThe article is based on the ethnographic mobile fieldwork carried out among Polish tractor unit drivers employed in West European forwarding companies. It is focused on truck drivers’ mobility, whose inherent quality is the contradiction between movement and stillness, multi-sitedness and specific localisation, and access to protected and monitored industrial zones as opposed to spatial exclusion. The starting point of the reflections are the categories of a non-place and mobility, which in practice appear to less obvious and one-dimensional in the context of trans-local and cross-border activities of tractor unit drivers. It is the stillness a phenomenon that reveals the regimes of distribution and transport logistics.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Reverse logistics processes in plastics supply chains(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2011) Graczyk, Magdalena; Witkowski, KrzysztofThe role of reverse logistics in creating added value for producers of plastics is presented here. The premise is the choice of reverse logistics for plastics on the one hand, considering their versatile applications, such as in the packaging, construction and automotive industries. On the other hand, an extremely important issue is that their production is characterized by high dynamics, has a significant impact on the environment, contributing significantly to the use of the valuable resource that is oil. This paper will focus on the economical and environmental optimization of reverse logistics processes in production enterprises. The presented article is part of a research project on developing application methods for the settlement of environmental-economic support for reverse logistics processes aimed at reducing consumption of energy and raw materials by plastics manufacturers, which ultimately translates into added value in terms of so-called environmental benefits.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Simulation and optimization as tools for logistics and distribution centers analysis(Data obrony: 2009-06-25) Nowak, Tomasz

Expansion of disposable capacity of the manufacturing operation for production of electromotors was chosen as an example.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The effect of environmental criteria on locating a biorefinery: a green facility location problem(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2017) Serrano-Hernández, Adrián; Faulin, Javier; Belloso, Javier; Sawik, BartoszUnderestimating facility location decisions may penalize business performance over the time. These penalties have usually been studied from the economic point of view, analyzing its impact on profitability. Additionally, the concern about obtaining sustainability is gaining importance, leading to a search for renewable energy sources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. However, little attention has been paid to choosing a location considering environmental criteria. Thus, this work aims at determining a biorefinery location considering its impacts on natural resources. Therefore, a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model has been developed, taking into account crop location and biomass production seasonality to obtain a proper location that minimizes environmental impact. The initial version of this paper was presented at the ICIL Conference in 2016.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Zastosowanie podejścia Lean dla optymalizacji logistycznego systemu przedsiębiorstwa(Data obrony: 2018-03-08) Ploshchanskyi, Ihor
