    The presence of hydrocarbons in a geological substrate causes both physical and chemical changes to its structure. These processes allow discovering and identifying of new deposits of oil and natural gas in a substrate. The thesis adopts the magnetotelluric methods as to permit a direct detection and exploration of the deposits. The AMT / MT and CSAMT measurements were made along with the measuring profile 09-R-09. The dimensions were taken in the south-eastern part of Poland, the Ryszkowa Wola Horst, Rudka area. The data was initially handled as to remove any disruptions and assigned to an appropriate interpretative model. On the basis of the data the resistance sections were constructed which were then analyzed and determined the prospective zones. The results were compared with the stratigraphic and lifthologic profile of the Rudka borehole 10. A geological model with a detailed interpretation was created.
