    The aim of this thesis is to bring closer the subject of the calceareous tufa near Cracow and possibility of protection them. In this work it has been presented geological structure of discussed area and few, selected holocene calcareous tufa from the valleys of Cracow Upland along with analysis of malacofauna which was contained in them and reconstruction of conditions environment during depositing carbonate rocks. Chosen exposures have been proposed to point protection as documentation stands. Each stands have questionnaire of the inanimate nature cataloguing.
